Its people like you that is ruining this world always wanting everything for free. What part do you not understand that your warranty is 4,000 miles out of date so if it was 10,000 then you would pay it? So instead of begging pay it there is no reason they should do it for free.

You know what they will say?

The warranty stops at 80K and there is nothing else they can do about. They have to stop it somewhere and 4K is quite a bit over.

Now maybe they can work on getting you a better deal on the price, but you are not going to get a freebie here guaranteed. What if you had 85,000? 86? 87? If they let you at 84, then why not the guy at 85 and so on and so on.

If the guy is charging you $800 to CHANGE the converter then you ARE getting screwed warranty or not.......A 1 armed man could do it in an hour......and your getting screwed even bigger on the price of the converter. Any half ass mechanic shop can do the whole job for less than a grand.......

I personally have never had a CC go bad. I actually took it off my 1st car ( 75 Dart), welded in a straight pipe, ran it on regular (leaded gas), did it in HS autoshop class.
