Hey guys, I figured that this would be the place to come. So I'm a fairly intelligent guy (at least I'd like to think so haha) and I really love analyzing data. Where does one get a start in the sports betting industry? Do I go to a casino and ask to work as a teller? I literally have no idea. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

Raise a bankroll, and then open up a shop offshore and let people buy on-off the #3 in the NFL for 10 cents. See-- Aces Gold. Good Luck

If you are fairly intelligent, stay out of the gambling business and get into the sex business....or any other profitable business(less headaches)

I've turned over the idea of becoming a bookie but at the end of the day, I'm not tough enough to get money from anybody who stiffs me. I've thought about the porn industry as well. I think you're right in that it's more profitable but I have NO clue where to go about starting there. I guess a camera, a guy, and a girl? haha.

Viejo, I've read that you worked at some offshore books. How was your experience there?

I don't think being tough is even the problem. It's clearly illegal, and some guys' wife could always turn you in. I've considered it, working for somebody else, I'm not afraid of some relatively minor charges for being involved in it, I just don't want to be the main guy, or the collector.

I guess you'd have to move to Nevada, work for a casino book, but you'd really just be a ticketpuncher/teller/clerk type for chump money, it might even be hard to get that job. Maybe eventually you move up, not sure how high up you can go ?

Moving to CR to pursue it seems difficult. Learn Spanish, still start at the bottom, plus the CR industry is probably shrinking.

I think local bookie is really the way to go.
