Right now I would have to say that Gators might just be the best team. they have a very tough schedule but if they run the table, I say they are in the BCS Title game. I bought some 15/1 at the Hilton this morning

Are you kidding me? Why would a one loss team get this type of credit because they play well in a big game? Stop obsessing over one big game. People do it too often?

Let's not get carried away over one solid half of football-especially from a team that lost at home as a 23 point fav 2 weeks ago.

I don't care what anyone says or argues. As of right now the two best teams in America are Texas and Penn State. I know a lot of people hate on the Big Ten but Penn State is damn good. I've watched every game they've played this year, obviously, and they may be the best team in America. They are great offensively, defensively and on special teams.

Sorry but perhaps you should re-read my post. I bet Florida before the game at the Hilton this morning so it's safe to say I didn't base my opinion simply because they played a great 1 st. half. I took Florida -6 for game and - 1 1/2 for 2 nd. half also. When I make a future wager I always try to take a close look at schedule as well as their record. One must remember that LSU won the title last year and they had lost 2 games and still got into the BCS game. I love my 15/1 on Florida.
By the way .... Since you were so critical of my pick.... Who's your pick ?

I wasn't really being that critical of it-the timing of your post just seemed like a knee jerk reaction to the 1st half. At this point, I'd lean towards Texas or Florida, but there's a lot of season left.

Timely Homer, Penn State has played no one-Illinois is the closest thing to a solid team that they've seen. Given their schedule, Ohio State looks like their only real game-the rest are trash.

They have a loss to a bad team. They're not the best team in America. What I don't understand is why people ignore losses? Oh they've played a tougher schedule and beaten good teams, but they lost to a terrible team. Part of being the best team in America is beating the teams you should beat and winning the tough games. PSU and Texas are undefeated and haven't been upset because they don't relax for little games.

PSU and Texas are better.

So funny. They beat the team that beat USC. They killed them.

They win at Wisconsin and no matter what anyone says that's not easy. Wisconsin fell apart against Michigan and should have had only one loss going into tonight's game. They could have easily beaten OSU and Michigan and been a top 10 team.

They destroyed Wisconsin at home. That never happens. They destroyed Illinois and they destroyed the team that beat USC. This is so funny. No one can give props to them and they may be the best team in America. What does this team have to do to prove shit to anyone? They've
destroyed people.

Florida lost to an awful team. PSU didn't. Sure they beat LSU tonight but why is it that when you lose to an awful team you're better than someone who hasn't lost to anyone but doesn't have a top-10 team win yet? Showing up week in and week out is important. That's what makes a great team. Not just showing up for big games.

PSU and Texas are 1-2.

There are at least 12 teams in the country where if they played the same schedule as Penn St they too would be undefeated. Coastal Carolina, Oregon St, Temple, Cuse, and the Big 10...Please.

Easy to say because they are undefeated so far ! Also you can't get any 15/1 odds on either of them right now ! Oklahoma was 9/4 this morning and now you can get them at 15/1. Nobody ignores losses but the fact of the matter is almost all of the best teams will have a clinker in there somewhere and that doesn't always mean their Title hopes are over. This week the USA top 3 teams all lost. If all one cares about is wins, then watch out for Utah and BYU. They could easily go into their final game both undefeated so one of them will perhaps finish 12-0. I bought a small insurance bet on the field at the Hilton at 60/1 and the field includes both of them. I feel certain that the BCS will take a 1 loss SEC team for example but We must remember that last year the Champion had 2 losses !

Really. Wisconsin never loses at home and should have won last week against OSU. That is a tough place to play. USC wouldn't be undefeated and they're "GREAT", because they lost to OSU. Florida wouldn't be either, because they lost to a garbage Ole Miss team. Name the ten teams please, because the teams that are "elite" have lost to garbage teams this year. PSU hasn't.

I got much better than 15/1 on PSU to win it all before the year. It wasn't a homer bet either. I thought if Clarke was good that they'd have a chance. He hasn't been good, he's been great.

Please knock off Ohio St. so we don't have to see them in a BCS game Unless it's them playing South Florida or Pitt in the Rose Bowl...LOL

Penn St is a good team but no where near the class of the nation. You base your whole opinion off of Oregon St common opponent, and the fact that you are a homer and can't help it. I am a big ten guy (ILLINI fan) but the Big Ten really is that bad. Penn St. doesn't deserve to be considered for a national title game because they play no one. Big Ten doesn't count, they needed to go out and play a top 10 team and win in order to have that right of consideration. Penn St. 10th best team in the nation.

But they will lose to Ohio St. and end all this.

What odds do you have on PSU ? It sounds like you have a great bet there. However I have been betting futures for over 25 years and I never put all my eggs in 1 basket. This is the time of the year to make some cover wagers and there are still plenty of things that can happen with 5 or 6 games still to play. I doubt that there will actually be 3 major undefeated teams this year. The only time I can remember that happening recently was when
Auburn ran the table and got left out of the title game. BCS sucks but I guess We are stuck with it !:think2:

I hope. If they win at OSU and at Wisconsin I don't think there's a question whether they're the best team in America.

One thing I can sit back and enjoy is that Joe Pa will not let his boys lay down for a team and look ahead. They will not lose to a lesser team. Derrick Williams also wants it more than that. He said he went there to turn around the program and he wants a title more than anyone in college football. He's been criticized for three years. It's him and Joe Pa's turn to laugh.
