I had the Phillies in the First 2 games w/ Hamels and Meyers favorable pitching matchups imo. Tonight I have the Dodgers Kuroda has a distinct advantage over Moyer hence the 3/2 line. If you like the Phillies they will have to keep it close and let the Bullpens decide the outcome. They will win the series imo.

Moyer has more wins and a better era so I don't know where Kuroda has a distinct advantage. Phillies are 13-3 in Moyer's last 16 road starts vs. NL teams.

Good point Mr.Cover however these stats/matchups are what I base my opinion on and it is just an opinion.
Jamie Moyer (0-1, 4.50) has served up 10 homers to Ramirez, who has hit .340 (18-for-53) against the 45-year-old left-hander.
“Yeah, he has had success against me. And I’ll tip my hat to that,” Moyer said. “He’s a good hitter. He’s had success against a lot of people. But the way I look at it, (Sunday) could be a different day.”
Moyer is 1-3 with a 6.83 ERA at Dodger Stadium and in his only start there in the past decade, he was tagged for 10 runs and 10 hits in 5 1-3 innings of a 10-3 Phillies loss on July 16, 2007.
Philadelphia has lost five straight at Chavez Ravine—most recently a four-game sweep in mid-August—but each of those games was decided by one or two runs.
That sweep is part of Los Angeles’ 19-6 home record since Aug. 1, including an NL division series-clinching Game 3 win over the Chicago Cubs behind six scoreless innings from Hiroki Kuroda (1-0, 0.00), who opposes Moyer.
“We need to get things back on our side,” Torre said. “And I don’t want to say it’s more comfortable coming home, but it should give us a little more confidence, let’s put it that way.”
The Phillies had an NL-best 44-37 road record during the regular season and have not lost consecutive road games in more than six weeks. Game 4 is Monday in Los Angeles.
Moyer struggled away from home in his NLDS start and is the only Phillies pitcher to lose in this postseason. He needed 90 pitches to get through four innings against Milwaukee as he allowed two runs, four hits and three walks in a 4-1 defeat.
Kuroda is 7-2 with a 3.43 ERA in 15 home starts, including his NLDS outing. He was outstanding in two starts versus Philadelphia in August, going 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA while the Phillies hit .095 against him.
“Regular season and postseason is a totally different thing,” Kuroda said. “Just because I did well (against Philadelphia) in the regular season doesn’t mean it’s going to be the same during the postseason.”
Ryan Howard is 0-for-5 against Kuroda and he’s hit .105 (2-for-19) with one RBI during these playoffs. The major league leader with 48 home runs and 147 RBIs has gone eight consecutive games without homering, his longest such drought since June.

You really expect Manny to get anything to hit tonight because I don't. I'm expecting the Dodgers to win, but I think people are basing it off they swept the Phillies in LA so they will do it again. While the Phillies had late leads in two of those games that the bullpen blew.

I think the line should be closer to -125 too.

The Phils are 18-4 in their last 22 games, which is pretty ridiculous. The Dodgers are 13-9 in their last 22 games, just for comparison, and late in the year played the following teams for their final 5 series: Col, Pit, SF, SD, SF. None of those teams are even decent, as Col was the best record of the bunch at 74-88. The Phils on the other hand played Mil, Atl, Fla, Atl and Was. Granted Atl and Was aren't great, but they swept Mil in a four game set and went 2-1 with Florida.

Coming off their NLDS sweep of the Cubs, everyone fell in love with the Dodgers and Manny Ramirez. The series line was -113 I think, favoring the Phils. Its now at -400 after their two quick wins. Looking back at this now, the Phils were the much hotter team coming into the playoffs and are showing it.

I couldn't agree more with Mr. Cover, as I don't expect Manny to see many pitches. We will know after the first inning who is going to win this game. Its simply a matter of whether or not Moyer is getting the calls on the corner.

And after all this, I am not 100% sold that the Phils will win tonight, but at +145, they are of great value and I'll be playing them. I think the line on the Dodgers is so steep because in my opinion the public was heavy on the Dodgers the first two and feels that they "have to win eventually" and they swept the Phils at home. Plus, I'm sure every ESPN guy will pick the Dodgers tonight too (maybe not Kruk) Either way, I'm playing the Phils for the third game straight and will be rooting for them so I can go to some world series games.

phills didnt win a game in LA this year
Kuroda 6-2 home record this year
Kuroda shut down the phills on August 14th @ dodger stadium

Moyer was unbeatable down the stretch
Moyers away record 10-3 this year

it's a tough call, but it's do-or-die for the Dodgers & Torre tonight. On that fact alone, I'm on the Dodgers.

yeah what would wins and losses have to do with trying to pick a correct side in a baseball game. i'll let you think about that for a little.

idiot.

If you use wins/losses of a pitcher to evaluate how good he is, YOU are the idiot.

Moyer was horrible nothing else to say. I expected the Dodgers to win these next two games then the Phillies win with Hamels and Myers to close it out.
