Need to buy a birthday present for a 6yo boy and was thinking about either the leapster hand held game or the nintendo DS. Anyone with kids have any input? He like so many other kids has ADHD and is on medication, but the kid is very smart and has an excellent memory, but just can not focus for more than 10 seconds.

My son is also 6, and LOVES his Nintendo DS, would recommend it with the Batman Lego video game.

leapster is a great gift idea. My daughter is 4 and loves it. Don't waste the money on the more advanced one (there is one that you can hook up to the TV, don't get that one).

Thanks all, I went with the leeapster thing as it seems less likely to break and a little bit more his level. I am trying to get him to actually learn things and not just stick him in front of the TV and have him watch the mind numbing cartoons. If I hear that god foresaken little rabbit C unt, Ruby one more time from "Max and Ruby", I may just take my own life.
