After last night, I promised myself I wouldn't bet them in LA. So much for that. I talked myself into playing them again, especially at +172. Anyone joining me?

Also taking the Giants -7, -120 too and 1H over 21.5 EV. This is going to be a very good or very bad night. Good luck.

Don't do it. Blanton is a bum who LA kills and Lowe is on a hot streak at home against a team he dominates.

LA runline or nothing.

PS Sinker ballers don't mind short rest.

FYI if you looked up the stats this year before this game, I believe Blanton had a 4.09 ERA against LAD this year, and Lowe had a 4.00 ERA against PHI this year.

Nice hit Bet Half Lines!

Jaspirr, I'm sure you're right about the ERA's, but that's a notoriously misleading stat that doesn't accurately measure a pitcher's performance. Against the current Phillies lineup Lowe's career avg/ obp/slg/ops was

.205 .247 .351 .598

Blanton's vs. the Dodgers was

.343 .429 .454 .882

A .300 point difference in .ops is a mismatch... on paper. HA! See how well that worked out for me!

You are right about the misleading stat. The rest of the numbers for this year were nearly identical as well.

But we probably should have been focused on the bullpen considering both starters were out after 5.

thanks hans, was thrilled to see the stairs homerun. Too bad the giants lost, but at least that 1H play hit too. good luck tonight, i think i'll be one Bos, although the line is a little steep imo for wakefield.
