A team will always have to play together. The next thing is being able to run the ball and stop the run. Everything else comes second.

Being a lifelong Detroit Lions fan makes me somewhat an expert in this category. I have told my biddy for years I think the key to the NFL is protecting the QB, any QB with time in this league can make the throws. On defense the same thing, get to the QB. If you can then you dont stand a chance. Thats how I would build a team.

I personally prefer a strong running game to a strong passing game if I had to choose between the two. I'll agree you can't have just one and win the Super Bowl though.

I'm kind of surprised to see people listing "Team chemistry" as #1 as well. I know it's important but I don't think it's more important than the individual offensive and defensive aspects. That's just me though.

I figure if you have a great running game and can stop the pass then you should be in good shape against anyone.
