prior to last game, the home team was undefeated, 8-0 reg season, and 3-0 in playoffs, in the dodger/phillies series....

now we allknow how philly won in dramatic fashion, but it seemed the home field advantage and comfort levelw as working just fine as the dodger led 5-3 very late in game...

just consider when u bet phils...u r bucking a trend that was 11-0, and wellon the way to being 12-0 if not for some heroic acts.....

just my .02$

do any of those things you quote actually have any bearing on the game tonight? or is it instead merely a stat that makes you feel better about being on the dodgers? obtw i'm on the phillies tonight as i think hamels drops the hammer on the dodgers, gl whatever you play and this is why they call it gambling.

I agree they are going to the World Series. I just hope it is game 6 as I will have a large play on Myers vs. Kuroda in Philly.

Was Hamel involved in any of those losses suffered by the Phillies at Dodger Stadium during the regular season?

yes hamels was involved...see above link for box score and recap

....he pitched an excellent game, gave up 2 runs, 5 hits, and didnt get a decision...... the phillies lost this game when romero and durbin each gaveup runs in 8th and 9th....

the home team trend is where its at...both teams full of incredible pitching and hitting......u cant deny a trend thats hitting over 95%...and nearly 100%

hamels from san diego ,im sure he feels at home in cali.
rollins from oakland and werth former dodger, feliz played many games there coming from san fran ,utley a cali boy too ,pasedena.

just fyi. not unknown territory for these guys. comfort level not an issue here.

my point had nothing to do with having local ties or being familiar with cali.....its got to do with travel sleep patterns, daily rouutine, ballpark familiarity.....and the actual fact of whether u hit first or last.......it had nothing to do with geography, or player origin

glad iw as wrong.....between the weird low line on hamels, the home/away thing, the unlikely comeback in game 5, and how many extended series i have watched over the last 20 years, i just dnt see this thing ending in 5 games......

glad i was wrong.....Phils +153 to win it all was available yesterday....might have gone down now that they won......been 15 years since iw as able to watch these guys in the WS.....very exciting for me.....
