Anyone ever take Ambien?

Thoughts on it? Likes/Dislikes? About to start taking it and heard mixed reviews would like some input please. thanks

if i take it and lie down in the bedroom, will i just pass out or what? i am worried i will get in my car and start driving or start sleepwalking or something. kind of nervous to take this after reading all the reviews, should i be?

Why are you taking it? Is a Doc giving to you or are you self medicating?

If it's not absolutely necessary I'd stay away from Ambien and ALL meds like Xanax that mess with (GABA).

Getting off them is a mess.

Yes my doc prescribed them for me. I am also on Lexapro.
No self medicating here. I really dont want to take it but i feel i have no other choice because i cant fall alseep til like 4 in the a.m. for the last month!

Side effects vary, but there's no conclusive evidence of taking ambien and sleepwalking but it has happened.

Hide your keys, take it and lie down.

I guess it is supposed to be for anxiety, but honestly i have never been happier in my life right now. when i did try to get off i experienced "brain zaps" and had a hard time breathing/swallowing...i sometimes still have difficulty breathing and swallowing. was going to check intothe hospital cause the doctor seems like he doesnt know what to do..also thought about going to a psychic as crazy as it sounds. bloodwork has always been good, allergy tests came back great, brain scans fine, etc...

Difficulty (or perceived difficulty) breathing and swallowing is a classic anxiety symptom...

brain zaps are normal after you stop taking anti anxiety pills...you have to reduce dosage though because it can get ugly if you stop all at once.

i have heard that from everyone, but it's weird. like i feel like im not worried about anything, but sometimes i just cant help it and maybe that is how my body reacts. thanks for taking the time to help out guys, i truly do appreciate the responses i am getting.

yea im back on them now and doing fine except for the occasional "clicking" sensation i get in my breathing patterns that go along with crackling ears. yes, i have been to an ear/nose/throat specialist and all checked out great.

but back to subject, i used to take benadryl to help me sleep after my anxiety situation...i also took ambien, you'll be fine, just monitor the side effects

crackling ears and clicking sensation with breathing is all normal

do you know what i mean though? like i can actually "hear" the clicking (best i can describe the breathing, its like a series of short breaths). no one really understands when i try to tell them

I have panic disorder, but not everyday anxiety. I am generally really easy-going and never worry about anything. Just have panic attacks, with a lot of the symptoms you are experiencing...

I take Xanax for it.

i have clicking in the ears but only when my ear is against the pillow.....anxiety is tricky, you're hyperventilating

i use ambien or xanax only to regulate my sleeping pattern or to fall asleep after an all night bender only. shit can be crazy addictive.

right, i take xanax when i get a severe attack, otherwise I try and control it...any fuuny/weird/scary thoughts i have, i blame on anxiety and "try" to control myself, which is fucking hard to do
