big12 quarterbacks: over/under 1.5 ......

number of big12 quarterbacks from this current group to eventually make a 2-deep nfl roster.

over/under 1.5

friday night and saturday morning discussion.

annnnddd ... begin.

(dare i say 'under' by the way? the spread offense at the collegiate level is ruining future nfl quarterbacks. big12 has so many outstanding qbs this year ... and yet i can't realistically see more than 1 sticking on an nfl roster for any serious length of time)

Daniel- Yes, 3rd stringer for 2 seasons
Sam Bradford -According to Todd McShay of ESPN is the #1 NFL prospect, what a JOKE!
Harrell- NO
Zac Robinson-NO
McGee-NO
McCoy- 3rd Stringer mayber

You have to remember the NFL needs 96 quarterbacks, that allows for a lot of stiffs to be on a roster.

I will go with YES. If Brooks Bollinger and Jim Sorgi were allowed to be on an NFL roster, along with Seneca Wallace, come down Chase Daniel and Sam Bradford.

I have known and watched Sam Bradford play different sports since he was a little kid. I would bet high(sans injury) he makes a two-deep roster!

Zac Robinson is the diamond in the rough among the Big 12 QBs. He is an unbelievable athlete who is just learning to play the position after the Bobby Reid fiasco. He actually could play safety or wide-out in the NFL. Think Scott Frost with much better throwing ability, but I think more along the lines of KU great Nolan Cromwell. Chase Daniels to me, is a dead ringer for Drew Brees. I've even been told that by an NFL coach. It's fun to speculate, but so many high profile QBs out of college have been busts, you never know. The proof is in the pudding.

why is bradford as a #1 prospect a joke? just curious, i honestly don't see any glaring holes in the kids game, and how much he's improved over his freshman year is crazy.

Spread QBs they are but these guys aren't no name Timmy Chang's that latched on to a hot offense.

Bradford has NFL size and was a top 20 recruit at QB.
Harrell I'm not as sold on but he has the size and the arm.
McCoy was a top 10 recruit at QB with NFL size.
Not sold on Robinson.
Chase Daniel is a little small but was a bigger sign than Bradford or McCoy out of high school. Very talented.
Reesing is too small IMO.
Josh Freeman can definitely get a spot somewhere.
Cody Hawkins is too small probably.

Bradford, McCoy, Daniel, and Freeman could all be 1st day picks IMO.

He has already said he isn't even going to try to make the NFL. He is going straight to med school or dental school.

Bradford is really damn good, accurate, smart, makes great decisions, very athletic, what looks like a strong arm and as Belly said, has improved a ton over what was a fantastic freshman year. Not at all unreasonable to think he would be the first QB taken. McShay has Stafford as #5 overall (2nd QB) and Bradford is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Stafford. He also isn't a spread QB, their offense is very much a pro-style offense. They use 2TE, a FB, 3WR routinely and generally have pretty good balance

Bradford actually increased his arm strength(3 mph @ 30 yds) in the off-season. :aktion033

interesting comparison on daniel (brees). personally, i think bradford will comfortably make a 2-deep roster. the problem is that i really cant see anyone else from the conference doing it. its funny because scoring in the big12 is at an all-time high. the games are fantastic to watch. but im not convinced it translates to any success on the next level. if nothing else, bradford is the kind of athlete that will stick on a roster somehow, someway. he could probably turn himself into an h-back if he really wanted to. all in all, i really think the spread offenses are stunting development for guys who might have originally had the tools to make it.

prodigy, I never watched Bradford play a single football game in high school, and he started for 3 years at one of the largest high schools in the state(less than a mile from my house). He played on an elite basketball team that had many D-1 players on it. I saw him shoot 34 for nine holes(muni-course) when he was 12! He could throw around 80 mph when he was a freshman in high school. He also comes from a great family and is a good kid.

Chase Daniel is too short to be an NFL QB. Look at Grossman and he is an inch and a half taller than Chase.

Harrell is the best QB in the conference. Unfortunately scouts look down at QB's coming out of Leach's system.

Bradford, Chase Patton and Freeman should all stick in the league, another one of the bunch might. As someone said, teams are going to take a chance on a McCoy, Robinson or Harrell over a Bollinger or Sorgi.
