Man, either he's just starting to get play here in Canada or I've been living under a rock since his 2004 debut album. This may be the best modern-age song writer I've heard. The voice, lyrics and song-writing are all outstanding.

It's like Bob Dylan and Jeff Buckley produced an offspring somehow. Definitely check him out:

hes certainly got his niche. the people who know about him will attest to exactly what you just said. youre just as likely to walk up to someone and have them be completely clueless as to who he is ... but then walk up to the next person and have them gush about what an amazing artist he is.
