I am going to get certified to teach and then probably do some part-time corporate teaching. I also have an opportunity to do some financial/acctg work for a resort but not sure if I want to work that much. I plan on just living it up and blowing through some savings.
They are always looking for teachers. Only requirement is you have a college degree (in anything).

Word to the wise - they are starting to tighten up on who can become a teacher over there. It used to be if you got a TEFL certificate from a certified institution you would be good to go. Nowadays, the government is looking into people's background and very soon you will need a college degree in whatever you want to teach. They have finally smartened up. This goes for teaching in the big cities right now (mainly Bangkok and Pattaya), but a lot goes overlooked in the smaller villages.
Also, the majority of teaching jobs in the big cities will suck for pay. Generally under 30,000 baht per month. Sure, you can live off of that but unless you have ample savings you will not be spending big on a night out on the town. It would be easier to work in the U.S. or elsewhere and save up a bunch of money, then move there for a while, instead of working half the day for a measly 20,000 baht, then trying to go party on what money you have and remember you have to get up early the next morning to go teach again. Not fun in a town which runs off of money and nighttime partying.
