I guess most by now have graded Phillies on the moneyline and are now sweating them to go on and win tomorrow, to avoid further beefs from TB bettors.

Bookies with deep pockets may find themselves paying out both sides if TB win to keep everyone happy.

The other situation is to refund TB money and eat phillies money.

Not a good day for bookmakers.

Phillies were graded a win.. per most book rules.

Bookmakers have an entire 24 hrs to decide if they game will be on the board (WS game... will be on the board)
Another shot and another game = money to be made

Why bother giving them another shot to rebet at the same price?

Most mugs won't bother betting it again. = loss of businees.

And if the game gets started and doesnt finish again (an outside chance) do bookies then pay out on the Phillies again?

Common sense tells you bets should roll and stay pending. Otherwise bets should be cancelled. No way bets should be graded as win or loss. This is riduculous. I'm will bail if my losing bet isn't regraded.

I need to know if the current rule has been reviewed since there was a change in the official baseball rules. I believe these rules are outdated and need to be looked at. Earlier I called for the common sense rule to be implemented. For example a game gets suspended with the score being 10-10 after 7 innings. Common sense tells you over bettors would win. But not with the current rules, bets would be canceled because game only went 7 innings. Come on guys use a little common sense and stop fucing the player. I'm pissed.

As far as I can tell BUD was the one that changed the rule last night, I would prefer to go with the rules that were in place when I placed my bet not after. I will side with the books.

Vegas needs to change it, offshores follow Vegas rules.

Zeeman......books should not pay a 10-10 game as an "over" that is called after 7 innings. Most books get their rules straight from Vegas so you know their must be sound reasoning on why they wouldn't pay this as an over.

By your "common sense" rules, I could get a free shot on the "over" on any game where weather made it doubtful that the game would be played to a 9 inning conclusion, as was the case last night. You would pay me for a 10-10 slugfest, yet refund the wager on the 2-2 game last night. This is why the 10-10 game in your scenario certainly should not be paid as a winner.

You may have a point, but if weather is questionable before the start of a game maybe the line should be adjusted. Add more juice to the over to factor in the free shot scenario. Please Explain the reason why books revert back to the last completed inning. Can a free shot be taken on sides when the weather is questionable. Why wouldn't the book follow real time rules. In this case bets should be suspended to the completion. Why reward some unfairly, and penalize others unfairly. Nothing but a crock of shit.

actually terrible situation for local books. the problem is Phil was graded a winner so those who had Philly are happy. However those who had Tampa have been bitching up a storm saying why did they lose. Its a lose lose situation. If you go ahead and refund Tampa players then the Philly players bitch what happened to their graded winning wager. If you leave the Philly a winner, then you risk getting stiffed by Tampa players. Overall its a nightmare for local books

This is terrible, I took the phil's at +140 for the series 400. Last night I took the Rays at +160 for 400, it is graded a loser, but the thing that pisses me off is they grade it a loser to me means an ending to a game but my series bet is still pending. That was my bitch today... but my local is still leaving the bet in play until a winner is decided for last nights game. My online book is the one that I am pissed with. And I also knew the rules but it is a win win for them right now.
