I KNOW YOU HAVE A WINNING TICKET AFTER 4 1/2 INNINGS THATS FINE BUT HOW CAN THEY GRADE THIS WAGER.THIS WASNT AN OFFICIAL GAME IT WAS A CONTINUED GAME A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SITUATION.IF THEY CALLED THE GAME AND THE PHILLIES WON FINE THE BET STANDS AFTER 4 1/2 INNINGS BUT THEY DIDNT SAY THAT THEY SAID IT WAS A CONTINUED GAME WICH MEANS ALL WAGERS SHOULD BE CANCELLED.

BOYS I HAVE A CREDIT ACCOUNT WITH (BET TROPICS) AND THEY MUST HAVE GOT SO MANY PHONE CALLS THEY REFUNDED ALL TAMPA BAY MONEY ON THAT GAME.

BET TROPICS REFUNDED ALL TAMPA BAY MONEY WICH I THINK ALL SPORTSBOOKS SHOULD DO THIS WAS A TOTAL SCAM.I MENTIONED BET TROPICS BECAUSE I DONT CARE NOW I WANT MY CREDIT ACCOUNT CLOSED I GOT A LITTLE OVER MY HEAD LAST WEEK.:finger:

The rule is geared for regular season games. When a regular season game is suspended it probably doesn't resume for months. The importance and rarity of a world series game should make game exempt from this stupid,unfair,antiquated rule. Bud Selig said it best when he said common sense will always prevail when dealing with World Series Game. All World Series games will be played a full 8.5 innings or more. Since sportsbooks aren't on top of the baseball rules bettors will always be subject to unfair grading practices. Such was the case the other night, but sportbooks really had no other option as long as they had unfair, antiquted rule posted.

bet tropics refunded all tampa bay money knowing its probably not worth losing customers over.if i had tampa and you bet it with a major sportsbook you should be fighting like hell for a refund.

It's pretty much cut and dry if your a credit shop you are bending the rules
to keep your squares from bolting.

If your an offshore post up shop your paying out at letter of the law and if you want to bolt don't let the door hit you on the way out and good luck collecting your balance due.

i have been betting with 5 dimes and if they pulled this bullshit on me if i had tampa they would hear about it.you cant have it both ways either the game is over and philly won the series after leading after 4 1/2 innings or its no bet on a suspended game.somebody has to make a decision here

i dont know how 5 dimes graded this game but like i said sportsbooks cant have it both ways.

its either a philly win and the series is over or its a no bet on a suspended game.

bet tropics paid out on philly and refunded on tampa bay this is how it should have went down.

This is the rule, its a dumb one but people should be aware of it.
My question is what would have happened if the game was not tied, could selig officially "suspend" the game, or would it be a 2 day rain delay in which the bets would still be active...

No, you can't suspend that game, and if Selig did, he would look like the commissioner of the 1972 Olympics. That's why he got bailed out when TB scored.

All he has to do is change the postseason rules to state that all games will be played to completion, and all games will be suspended if they do not reach 9 innings. Because if Philly was up 2-0 after 4, that game can't be suspended either, and would have to replayed entirely at 0-0.
