Hey guys.. planning a trip for college bowl week... wanted to know if anyone knew the best place to stay at for sports betting. So far I hear Cesears is top one because they rate yours sports play very highly (a 5 dime bet rates out as table game play average bet 5k for 1 hour) and I can get my room comped for 4 nights for a total wager handle of ~15-20 dimes during my stay

Is this about right? Do other casinos have similar comp systems? Which one do you guys recommend?:toast:

This can't be close to true.

In the past I've wagered thousands and thousands during the course of a week at a vast majority of sportsbooks.........never recieved more than a buffet ticket..........and I knew the managers at many firsthand.

Working behind the counter at four different joints, never comped anything higher than a comp for two to a semi-fancy restaurant.

NEVER in my life did I comp a room.

I play on average $500-1,500 worth of wagers a day per sportsbook and have only been given a handful of drink tickets and mostly from the red rock or golden nugget and nothing more.

Ice--if your interested, just asking at most will get you a buffet ticket. Make yourself known to the supervisors and managers.

Oh I forgot, you don't eat much. :)

Dont even try it. You wont let me live down the food is that important statement will you?

I have spent money on a handful of things at sportsbooks and each time I am stunned how much I spend each time. Just bought a 15 oz orange juice the other day at the Hilton and it was $5.25, I couldnt believe it. Maybe I do need to speak up.

THE WIFE & I ARE GOING IN DEC... for 4 days. it has been our experience in the past..... the only time they will "comp" your room is if you use the "players card" which we have been doing for years now. now at the sports book i will bet 200 to 500 on a few games.... and the most i have ever got was free drink tickets !!...table games like black jack..... i have been given free buffet tickets a few times but that was years ago !! i would think your best bet would be.... get with a "players club host" and sign up with the players club card ! then after a "days" worth of bets.... get back with a host.... and let them check out your play !! if you have played allot... they might "comp" your rooms... but don't hold your breath ! at least if ya bet allot she or he will give ya "free' meals at the buffet !!..... they are having hard times in las vegas right now.... they don't want to give away anything these days.

good luck... and keep us posted !!:103631605

Last October, at the Venetian, I was getting free drink tickets everytime I placed a bet ($50-$100) at their sportsbook.

I would like to figure out a system where I move to vegas each year for the football season. But stay away the rest of the time.

Unfortantly for me, the wifes job does not permit this.

Call the casino you are staying at- ask the the casino host-if you could be tracked-or comped under open watch-they should reduce your tab, according to your action-ask what the standards are ahead of time- good luck to you-

You do not need drinks ticket at the Hilton. The secret is to sit at end of race book seats where you can watch all the football games too. They come every 10 minutes to see if you want a drink. No drink ticket needed. You have to get there early. 8am at least.

Hilton is the best at a rate of $1 in comps for every $220 wagered.

Caesars is approximately $1 for ever $330 wagered.

Wynn, Venetian, MGM properties nothing apart from drinks. Not sure about others.

Ask them what you get for what you bet.

Tip them if necessary, a $5 tip for 3 $5 drinks is +EV.

Treat them with respect as they are people too.

Far too often people want something for nothing.

I ran a book in Vegas for a few years, be cordial to me I will be cordial to you.

Lot of people think the world is owed to them for $20 on the Pats.

If you want PM for more info.

Wow! Thanks for all the great feedback. I guess the casino host I spoke to at Ceasears was blowing smoke when he told me that 20dimes of betting would get me a room.. he didnt sound sure so I guess you guys are right. I didnt realize that its so stingy w/ sports betting.. i mean If i play 25 dimes over the course of my stay, thats around 1000$ of juice right there (if i go 15-10 on my picks, lets say) That should get me more than 125$ in comps... according to the LV hitlon rule of 1$ for every 220$ wagered.

If you want drink tickets, the last time i stayed at the wynn for week 1 nfl they were giving em out like candy.. like 3 at a time..
