Hello everyone im new to this forum. Whenever i look around at many sports betting sites they say they have around a 75% winning %, but im reading a book by Dan Gordon called beat the sportsbooks and he says he has only a 63% winning % and he has been betting proffesionally for maybe 20 years.

Which one of these numbers is correct and to be a succesful sports bettor what is the percentage you need to aim for?

Almost nobody has a winning % of 75. it just doesnt happen. They say you need around a 56 win percentage to make a profit. But thats a feat on its own.

Welcome to RX. To answer your question, both numbers are nonsense. The percentage any decent professional will win longterm is between 53% to 55% and that is not easy to accomplish.

I'm just starting out too. 55% is good?

Tell that to this guy -- he claims 97% winning percentage. I may be a little wet behind the ears, but what he says seems pretty credible.

This looks like a 'chase' system. Playing a serie of games, doubling your wager after a loss of a game in the serie, until you lose/win the serie. Those chase systems are very risky, because eventially you will go something like 0-7, imagine what you're betting on the last wager just to make 1! unit of profit. Check the explanation on the internet for Martingale betting.

Dont believe to this scamdicappers calling a 90-80-70% percentage, they are only fishing for your hard earned cash. If anybody would hit that %, we all would be driving RollsRoyces and flying private jets! The way the put it, the shit they yap will sound very true and logical, especially when you're new to sportsbetting. Its 100% bullshit! This guys doesnt give a damn about producing winners, they just want you to buy their system/picks.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck :toast:

PS Wow that douchebag is asking 2 bills for that system

i guess that's like betting on red or black in roulette and just doubling down over and over till you win.

i don't know if that's what his system is, but i see your point. thanks.

Ok, hold on folks. This is my first post. So let me start out by saying hi to my fellow sports gamblers. :howdy: Now, I must respectfully disagree with Monsterbuck. Monster, when making such negative claims, you really should have at least one piece of creditable information to back up your assumptions. I bought this system and I use it. And I must say, it is exactly what it claims to be. Yes. It is a system that plays a series of games. A, B, C. So if you lose on (C) then yes, the bet is lost. I joined about half way through the 2008 MLB season. I got in on the last 22 or so games. I won most of those games on the first bet. In fact, the last 14 or so games were won on the (A) bet. There were a couple of (B's) and very few (C) bets. Bottom line. I won all my bets so far with this service. As you can see on the site, they're claiming they've gone 18-0 so far in the 2008-2009 NBA season. I've been keeping better records this time. Of my 18 NBA wins, 15 were won on the (A) bet and 3 on the (B) bet. Pretty dam exciting. And what the hell is wrong with you? Asking 2 bills is too much? It's not a monthly fee. You pay one time. Look. I don't get a dime if you join or don't join. But this service is legit. It is the REAL DEAL. We've all lost $200 easy. Do I think it's worth $197 to give this system a try? HELL YES!!! And Monster. Even people using this system probably aren't going to be flying around in private jets considering they cost about $10,000 to $25,000 per hour to operate. Just ask the Ford and General Motors Ceo's that flew their private corporate jets to Washington to beg for their bailout money.

Betmcmett. You found a winner. Give it a try. You won't be dissapointed.

Last. What a great forum. I've only been going through it the last two days. Lots of great information. The people here are helpfull and pretty cool. Good luck to everyone. I hope you next bet is a winner...

Jas, so how much did they pay you to promote this system? You sound a bit tooo enthusiastic about it!

Its just my opinion, that in the long run chase-systems dont work. Eventially you WILL hit a cold streak, nobody is going to hit 90-80-70% on the long run. Just like you, I can say (without any documentation) yeah I hit 15W's in a row. So if you say it, it has to be true right? What the hell is wrong with you, thinking everybody is going to take your word on it!?

Why would the makers of the system even wanted to sell it for 200$, if they can make thousands on it betting all the plays?

Very great marketing line!

Nonetheless I wish you best of luck on your action.

PS Why dont you share the system, so we can see how profitable it is? As you mentioned there's great info to be found on this forum, if this system is what its claims to be, its going to be a great addition to the forum.
