Sure, it happens. I remember one OTC stock (Homeland Security something or other) went up about 5,000% in a couple of months. There is also Taser (which isn't really a penny stock but close enough) that went up about 10,000% over an 18 month period.
Can't think of any others off the top of my head but it does happen. More often than not they come right back down to below where they started. Pennies are tough.

nah, you get more rapid movement with the penny stocks. i did lose 270 on hlcs though, made 150 today on fre. just gotta be careful. i've been in and out of fre 3 different times this week for a damn nice gain. i picked up fnm too but took the dog for a walk. what could have been a 500 gain turned into a 25 gain.
I've got a RINO lined up -- it's just going to take about 3 years. If you can wait 3 years for upwards of 900% ROI, buy EAR.
I'll be posting a write-up on my thread over the next week or so. All I can say is, if you dont own it, you'll wish you did. And, it's American too for all the China-haters, lol.

ALKN had a run 8 months ago, in which the POS went from .02 to .65 before declining in a month and averaging around .20-.30 cents for awhile, until recently it fell to low of .0099. Then recent news has it back to .025 and with recent news I think we see another run and chance to make money on this.
