Anyone with a habitual or serious gambling problem will find these outlets and blow/lose their money anyway and sometimes doing so in places that are NOT legal.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]The ratio of individuals that would just like to enjoy gambling online for recreation(and profit) tremendously outweighs the few that get into financial trouble gambling. Furthermore, if legalized, online gambling would open the doors for hundreds if not thousands of jobs.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]I also have a very hare time with the government pushing moral standards on the U.S. citizen, as if they were an 9 year old child, it is just not right. Furthermore, there are many LEGALIZED areas where anti-gambling expansion individuals such as yourself should be looking into if that is how you feel.........how about we BAN cigerattes, do not allow drinking and driving in any form whatsoever, getting rid of chemicals in our food and cleaning products, etc., etc. One of the reasons is that government officials want and do have a piece of the pie.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Getting back to the issue, it really is alarming that the government feels it has the right to tell AMERICANS HOW TO SPEND THEIR MONEY........that is almost a form of dictatorship.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]By not allowing online gambling, you are actually forcing the few gambling degenerates to play games run by the states and government that are a total RIPOFF for the player!!! Most state lotteries take 25% and more off the top, meaning the player is only getting a 75% return on their money. Heck, most Las Vegas slots pay over 96%. Then you have the racetracks taking a cut of 12-25%, THE PLAYER HAS NO CHANCE.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]With poker and sportsbetting, GAMES OF SKILL I MIGHT ADD, the player has a chance to win, and many do professionally.[/FONT]

The country has serious problems and I want to talk about them in a national basis based on experience and the numbers so they get addressed. You as farmers have only the same people each year at you meetings and my post (you call a ad) says that should change. Yet since 1998 without subsidy checks you would all be broke and not millionaires as you are today. Yet good farm policy didn't bring high grain prices but disasterous energy policy did. Policy that has killed our friends in town, the working folks/wage earners of rural America.

I posted here to see if this is a sight for meaningful change and leadership. Would you posters seek change at the Podium but it sadly seems you just want to be a closed lonely souls club and pocket more cash and bitch.

Dave i have added alot of info here that should be talked about such as ethanol blending and much more but by someone new. Plus i will not get a big check from the government on a year like all of you posting here will get, even with the highest taxable income you as farmers will ever have! Yet you call yourselves conservatives. Yet today's farmers have become the most liberal group in America with their hands out for anything they can get and that's not what conservatives or leaders do.

So Dave now you think land owners should get 80% of the crop and still have the lowly taxpayer send them a check, i don't! But markets will work if policy simply addresses sound cost of production practices! Sugar policy proved it, oh, thats right, you won't let anyone different at the Podium, to give you something new to think about! That's just like the Republican party that got their Clock kicked yesterday! Think about! Dave the Country is in big trouble even with Obama, because the biggest problem is Congress and it's perrenial members didn't change. So lookout, the mess is just starting to affect America! Alan

The positives of totally legalizing online gambling FAR OUTWEIGH the negatives.

As an individual involved with agriculture/farming and gambling, this situation with online gambling is 2x more concerning of me, as it infringes are basic freedoms as U.S. citizens.
