The NY Rangers are off to a fast start this season at 10-4-1. They have accomplished this with a very stingy defense led by Henrik Lundqvist between the pipes. Lundqvist is 8-3 this yea with a 2.00 goals against average and a save percentage of .926. Steve Valiquette has done well when he's given Lundqvist a night off, going 2-1 with a 2.59 gaa and .905 save percentage. The Rangers have the second best penalty killing unit in the league at 91.5%). Tampa Bay (4-3-3) has 11 points on the season and currently resides third in the Eastern Conference Southeast divsion. Tampa hasn't scored many goals this year, just 22 in 10 games (2.20 avg). Good thing for the Lightning is that they haven't given up many goals either, just 24. Vincent Lecavalier leads the Lightning with nine points and six goals. Mike Smith has been excellent in goal, allowing just 2.07 gaa with a very nice .941 save percentage. Neither of these teams do very well on the power play, as the Rangers are 27th in the league (13.7%) and Tampa Bay is 28th (13.6%). Lots of defense and goaltending in this game, but not a lot of scoring. Look for this game to fly under the total on Thursday.

I think you need to have a little bit of patience and at least wait until it is released before you request. These requests are getting ridiculous at these times and just cause CPAW more work to move them to the chatter thread.

I realize this one does to but people have to start calling out some of these beggars that blow up the service thread to double the size it needs to be. It takes too much time to sift thru the pages looking for your picks with this crap.

Scoreless in their last 2 games (0-2 defeats against weak teams like Middlesbrough and Bolton), Man City will now host a Twente team in good form, only stopped this weekend against recovering Ajax. The dutch team has a very good defense: most of their wins come with clean sheets. They obviously concede when they lose, and they will most certainly not grab any points from this game. City has great potential and Mark Hugues will certainly use this match to recover part of his team's morale. As the blues also tend to concede goals, and Twente has shown they are able to score, we will pick the over 2.5 as the bet for this game!

A quick peek at both teams latest scores is what is needed. Wolfsburg had a great team in theory but has been struggling to transform known names into a winning formula. They are, nevertheless, a very strong team at home, as well as a high-scoring one! Heerenveen will travel to Germany after 5 wineless games. In all these games they conceded at least 2 goals and only once did they fail to score. They are a very offensive team, as is Wolfsburg, so this game will most likely give us a home win with some goals. Over 3 is our pick!

Real Racing Club Santander vs. FC Schalke 04

Struggling Racing (15th in La Liga) will host favourites Schalke 04. The germans, currently 4th in the Bundesliga, are a very tough team to beat, and this game will be no exception. After the 3-1 win against a odd PSG side (Le Guen placed too many non-starters in the team), this will be a real test for Schalke's european capacities. Santander had a fantastic 4-2 win at the Mestalla during the weekend, and will certainly use the earned morale to try and grab their first 3 points of the group, after a disappointing loss at Twente two weeks ago. However, Schalke's capacity will certainly be too much for the spanish team, very unexperienced at this level. A 1-2 result is a likely outcome, but the Over 2 is our pick for this game!

Hertha travels to Ukrain facing the tough task of grabbing a win after a home draw against Benfica on the first round. The home team, 2nd in the domestic league, has been in great form so far this season and are undefeated in their home soil. They surprised favourites Besiktas, with a golden performance capped with a 4-1 win, and will start their group games against a german team that was trashed (5-1 against Bremen) during the weekend. Hertha has been struggling with form this season, conceding goals far too easily. Against Benfica, they dominated great part of the game, created a lot of chances, but only managed a draw with a fantastic Pantelic strike late in the game. They have, however, a very capable team and cannot afford a loss here that might boost the Ukranians to a rivalry for qualification. Odds are fantastic for Hertha DNB, and that is our pick!

Fantastic match in perspective. The croatian giants, in fantastic domestic form, will certainly try to take advantage of the aftershocks of Spurs terrible season start. The Londoners, however, are a totally new side under Redknapp, and after a fantastic comeback against Liverpool last weekend, they will certainly be considered favourites for this encounter. But stability is not a known word at White Hart Lane this season. That is good for football fans, but bad for betting predictions. One thing is sure when we watch a Spurs game: goals. Dinamo is also a scoring team, and away from home their defense is far from stable (11 scored and 9 conceded in 6 league away games this season). Therefore, our pick here will be the over 2.5!

Nashville was a home loser to Calgary in their earlier hookup, despite the fact the Predators controlled play for much of the contest. Now they get a chance to get a little revenge for that loss and they're catching a pretty good price in the process. The Flames are very streaky and have now dropped their last two outings, so the timing is good. I'll grab the road dog odds with the Predators.
