Data protection and closed accounts

Once you close an account with a bookmaker isn't it your right to have all details - card and personal removed from their database? I thought that's what the data protection law stated - UK.

B365 are refusing to delete my details saying they need to have them for "audit" purposes

Not suprising,SBs rarely delete post up player info so they will have for reference if you decide to open another account at a later date.

dumb law, what if a terrorist uses william hill to launder money?

so sorry chaps, we'd like to help alright but it seems that they've gone ahead an closed their account, and we deleted all that info straight away

they keep all your info....every book you ever gave it to

they never delete it
