I have money in my 5dimes account but i was thinking of adding more to it. I was thinking of putting 3000 - 5000 in it and i use moneygram. I have never deposited that much before and was wondering if they ask you questions or give you looks about the amount of money. Just wondering cause if they ask where it is going what do you say?

I don't know....but when I call the Greek they ask how much you are sending. I usually send between 800-$1000. I know they have a different list of names of people if you send more than $1500 but that is on the book's end.

I wouldn't worry about it at Walmart. I usually make it an off amount though...like $832.55....looks more like you purchased something. I don't think the Walmart people really care, but it might raise some red flags with W.U. I had them call me once and ask if I knew the people I was wiring money to....and then they told me it was illegal to wire funds for gambling purposes....or against policy or something....but that was when a credit card was involved.

Do you use your real name and address on the form when sending the money?

You could say you bought something online or you are sending it to the family of a friend from your church to help them out. :)

Funny you bring this up cause my wife works at Safeway and she always comments how there's such an increase of WUs to the Caribbean during August to December. BTW, she could care less who and where you send it to; its just a job for her until she finishes school

Those clercks who make min wage at the supermarket dont give a rats ass. I have had a few people fromt the damn bank try to ask me questions when asking about a large cash withdrawl before. I just gave them "its none of your F in business" stare - but in a nice way.

do 2 separate MG transactions and split the amount up that you want to deposit. i think this is the best way to do it.

Have your story straight. You are buying X item from Y person in Z country.

And give them the "It's really none of your damn business" look, also.

5dimes still takes moneygram, what could really happen to you if you were caught sending money to a sportsbook.

There's no crime sending money to a sportsbook.

It can be argued there's a crime involved if you receive money FROM a sportsbook.

As for the Moneygrams, no Walmart clerk or any other MG clerk will give you a problem. But it's possible that MGram themselves might flag you.

Unless you have an urgency to wager the amount soon, send them about $1000 via Mgram and the rest via a cashier's check sent FedEx. It will take a bit longer for that to clear, but then it's done
