Forum slowdown ??

Ever since the new upgrade It has been real slow for me.

It takes 10 seconds to load a page almost every time

some of the smilies do no show up on the right hand side

ex (cripwalk)

About 80% of the avatar's show up when I am viewing a page.

weird

anyone else have problems

** on the bottom left of my computer browser it says

waiting for 64.40.117.3 (what is this and why is it so slow)

The internet seems to be taking a crap today....it's not just this site or a few books.

same here, widespread slowdown everywhere i've been today.

For the record help is on the way.

We ordered a third server today and are hoping to have it completely installed and operating before this weekend. This should take the pressure off the curret two servers we have in use, especially during high traffic periods like now (over 6100 online). We are also still in an anti DDOS posture which could be effecting site navigation speed regardless of traffic numbers. Hopefully these DDOS attacks will cease soon and we can open the site back up.

Currently there are parts of the world (Austrailia for example) that cannot access the site at all due to port blockage.

terry when I log on to eog/majorwager they seem to be fine
when I log on to the rx it takes about 12 seconds to load than another 15 seconds to reply.

KS, I know the Rx server is under a pretty heavy load-but there's more to it than that(at least today).

I've had problems with Yahoo finance, CNN & USAtoday. Others have also had problems getting to certain books. I don't really know what to say.

im on 50 sites this is the only one giving me trouble.......im not saying you didnt have trouble but i havent only with the rx
