Randy Couture/Brock Lesnar ! This fight has a lot of intrique. Both these heavyweights have outstanding wrestling backgrounds and I don't mean fake wrestling ! These guys were Champions in college and beyond ! Should be quite an evening this Saturday. Any predictions out there ?:103631605

I will take Lesnar as UFC might want to pass the baton to him and dont think that Couture will have much for Lesnar.Any line out for this by the way ?

Don't know shit about UFC, but what from I have seen on TV, you could make a case for either guy...I do know that Couture is old and I expect a pretty fast ending...

This fight is about as close to a PK Em as You will ever find here in Vegas. -110 to - 120 either way. Advantages galore on both sides.

I would never bet against Randy - but this is a bad matchup for him. Even he said so.

If he could possibly get Lesnar down and keep him down, he'll have a shot, since wrestlers hate being on their back. I also think he would win the striking game if he kept it on the feet. If you saw him fight Sylvia, he closed the distance with amazing head movement and outboxed Sylvia inside. If he's taken down, Randy has to try for a submission, which ain't really his game. On the other hand, Lesnar might have trouble defending blue belt submissions from what I've seen. Even though this is a HUGE physical mismatch, Randy has been coming up with great gameplans for fights lately.

I'm talking myself into betting on the Natural:ohno:

Brock is going to have a HUGE weight advantage in this one. I think in his last fight the announcers were talking about him weighing about 280 at the actual fight.

I will give the old vet the edge here.

This is for real guys. Anyone who has been to a MMA event live knows very well that nobody has decided who will win any of the fights. That is one of the reasons why there aren't many UFC fighters that are undefeated because it is like a street fight. On any given night anyone can get in a great punch and the fight is over. Ask Kimbo ! Of course Kimbo was a joke from the get go with no real chance against any of the real mmA fighters. This isn't the fake WWF or WWE ! I know all about Randy Couture and have a nice photo of him right after He lost to Chuck Liddell. I know of Brock only through his long history in College, WWF and WWE wrestling. This matchup really draws my interest as it's hard to figure out how the match will go. Both fighters have huge talent and each side has huge edges. I'm not saying it will be the best fight ever but it certainly is one of the biggest draws ever. I remember watching the first Ali/Frazier fight with my older brother and the tension was almost unbearable. This one has that vibe for me !

Then your implying that ufc is fixed.

I wasnt saying that the UFC is fixed but I think its easier to market Lesner than Coulture over the long haul and to get better ratings but just my opinion thats all. Its all about the benjamins

Penn/GSP II might be bigger

Penn/GSP just might be a far better fight but I feel quite certain that Couture/Lesnar will be UFC's biggest drawing fight ever. The weak economy is certainly a negative but the intrique involved in this fight will draw a lot of interest. I do know the ticket prices are the highest ever.

who should i bet on between these two this weekend?
There is late money coming in favor of Lesnar -130. I will list some of my opinions of who might have the advantage and why but I'm heading off to work right now. :toast:
