I don't post in political forum so please don't move this TY in advance.

I was on the phone with my dad end of Pitt game as I needed Chargers in a big way and he lives in So Cal and was giving me play by play.

Was saying Chargers should let them score thank God they didn't,TD called back holding and you know the rest what a roller caoster.

OK any way my pops has a great idea for auto bail.

Give every family a 30k credit towards purchase of new car,we give them our voucher they clear out their inventory and start over with more sensible make of vehicle's!

Granted sales would be slow there after but every one owns an American made car and we would probably be more inclined to buy American next time around.

Oh and fire the jack asses currently in charge.

""it's been in the family for 40+ yrs, I see the writing on the wall""

this guy knows nothing but CARS..period...he is scared..:ohno:

he asked if I could help him.....:sad3:
i said i would try..

this guy won't go broke trust me..but the UNKNOWN is unforgiving..

how do you change life in mid-stream...(i'm sure alot have, my bad)

He says ...2 maybe 3 yrs before the BIG 3 come around...

this is a very hard time..

The big 3 are in trouble? Here's the solution: put Michael D. Brown in charge.

If you think it's bad now, wait until the govt. starts micro managing the auto industry even more than they do now.
Can you say Yugo?

it would break competition laws.

even if it was say just a $5000 credit per family.

It's per household/family

Needs work but concept is good instead of just giving them a check and then they go to a spa resort.

About 300 M people right ?

call it 50 M families ( low, maybe ?)

$30,000 to 50,000,000 families= 1.5 Trillion dollars.

There can't be 50 million F-150's, Dodge Rams, Ford Expeditions, etc.looking for a good home. It doesn't turn Ford into Honda, either. The 50 B bailout would be way cheaper.

I doubt the money is spent on spas/resorts.... maybe lottery tickets,liquor,drugs,cigs.... hopefully on housing, food, education, debt, etc.

$30,000 is too much for 80% of families. They would all end up buying gas guzzlers. That would hurt them in the long run.

Everyone would be fine with just $10,000. That almost pays for a cheap car these days

here is my proposal.

instead of giving money to the big three, just pass a law prohibiting collective bargaining in the auto industry.

kinda hard to run a company when the union cuts off your balls.
