I played this in Vegas over the weekend. I knew there had to be some type of strat. too it, but man was I way off.

TTinCo, if you play it, start studying this chart. You can get the house edge down to .16% at Royale:cripwalk:

If 6 decks are used the player should double 9 against a 5.

Yes, I double a 9 against a 5. Unless you drew a 2, you were not going to take another card and you are counting on the dealer busting, so IMO, doubling is a good move.

Did you play it at the Royale?? Last time I visited Vegas, there were only three places that offered this, with the Royale being the only place on the strip (Fitz and Lady Luck I believe were the other two)....Dante, -FH-, and I kicked ass the weekend of the bash two years ago with the switch

Ya, think combined we picked up about 500-600 in a little over an hour of action.

Very fun game, 2x more enjoyable than regular BJ in my opinion.

Do you have an edge... you must to be playing it ?

I don't know how to adjust the count for this game.

Was playing just to see what the game was about and join Dante and Billsey for a few drinks.

Haven't taken the time to see if its worth the while since I no longer live in Vegas, but do know with perfect strategy the house edge is less than .20 percent on the game.

I watched the game for awhile, it made me curious as to if it could be counted, or not ? I didn't play it. I talked to the pit boss about the game in general ( not counting it), since he was always right next to me, anyway ! :missingte

How'd you do selling the casino chips ?

It is the best.......

I've recently taken up the grind of battling an 8 deck shoe here in Tampa.

Should be slightly profitable over the longhaul with the somewhat decent rules(dealer stands on soft 17).

It depends on the rules, and how well you can count, many lose the count beyond one deck. I like two deck games, personally, but rules are important.

I like to walk away from from a bad deck/shoe ( Wong-it), so to speak...tougher to do with a shoe !

I normally drink a large amount of Heineken beer while playing BJ in Vegas, but I'm an alkie anyway, so it doesn't faze me much.

Part of my cover is frequently leaving the BJ table to pee, even if I don't need to.

In other words, I can pound down like 18 Heinies, over a few hours, and still count fine, and I don't look bad leaving the table at a negative count.

I can pull a lot of SHIT, since I only go there once a year.

AFter about the 8th beer, my counting ability goes in the shitter. I start second guessing my conversion from running count to true count.

year ago, it was easy to win at the Shoe downtown, good ole's SD, man those were the days.

no f'n 6/5 is everyone. now that is one game I will not play
