MistaFlava's 2008 NFL Record: 19-13-2 ATS (+203.00 Units) 59%

I am coming off a huge 50 Unit winner on Monday Night Football betting against my pride and joy the Buffalo Bills but what can I say? I had been there and done that before, I know his this team plays in games like that and sometimes you just have to go with your head and not your hear. So my up and down football season continues and hopefully I can get things back on track with another winner tonight. I consider the NFL my bread and butter and have had winning season for 4-5 years in a row now. The capping is only going to get tougher guys so suck it up, go with your head and lets pick some winners heading into the last month of the season (football is gone for a loooong time after that).

The goal for the season remains to hit 65% of my plays or hit the 100 Unit mark.

1 Unit = $100

Week 1: 2-1 ATS (+9.50 Units)
Week 2: 1-3-1 ATS (-12.00 Units)
Week 3: ---No Plays---
Week 4: 3-2 ATS (+68.50 Units)
Week 5: 5-1 ATS (+44.00 Units)
Week 6: ---No Plays---
Week 7: 2-0 ATS (+35.00 Units)
Week 8: 3-2-1 ATS (+43.00 Units)
Week 9: ---No Plays---
Week 10: ---No Plays---
Week 11: 3-4 ATS (+15.00 Units)

You can tail, you can fade or you can just watch. I can handle criticism, I am who I am and it's time to get back to a winning week. Good Luck to all this week!

Pittsburgh Steelers -11 (10 Units)

The Cincinnati Bengals suck, you know it, they know it and everyone else should know it so stop backing teams that don't have the slightest clue what they are doing out there. Most of you probably know this by now but the Bengals are coming off a rare 13-13 tie with the Philadelphia Eagles on the weekend and believe me when I say that it wasn't that they actually played well in that game, it was more that the Eagles were horrendous and they deserved to lost that game. You could say the Bengals are playing much better now then they were earlier this season, which is true, but this is a bad spot for them coming off the short week of practice and I just don't see how they can keep this close. Some of their other road games this season saw them lose by 29 points at Houston, by 12 points at the NY Jets, at Dallas by 9 points, by 3 points at the NY Giants and by 7 points at the Baltimore Ravens. So they haven't looked that bad away from home but none of those teams were as hungry as the Steelers are going to be in this one tonight so the dejected Bengals playing on a short week cannot be something you want to bet on. Cincinnati is 2-3 ATS in those road games so the spreads we appropriate at the time and now that the season is coming to an end and once again they are going to miss the playoffs, the big spread make sense if you ask me. Making matters worse, there is trouble in the locker room as Chad Ocho Cinco has been suspended for the game for violating team rules and QB Carson Palmer continues to miss time with a bad elbow.

What this game really comes down to is the fact that Cincinnati cannot score points versus the fact that the Steelers offense should have their best performance in quite some time tonight as they finally have everyone back to full health and are finally facing a much weaker home opponents. Cincinnati comes into the game averaging only 13.3 points per game in their last three games and they have managed to do that on 282.3 total yards of offense per game and 4.5 yards per play. I'm sorry but that just won't work against a Pittsburgh defense that has allowed only 13.3 points per game in their last three games while allowing those opponents to average only 241.3 total yards of offense per game. On the flip side of things, the Steelers are starting to get things going on offense as they average 18.0 points per game in their last three games and have done that on a much more respectable 321.7 total yards of offense per game and 5.0 yards per play. The Bengals defense is not that bad on paper but they suffer from a bad offense to back them up and have now allowed 22.3 points per game the last three games on 352.3 total yards of offense per game and 5.4 yards per play. I don't think this game is going to be all that much about the Steelers running the ball because the Bengals have been decent against the run the last three games allowing only 81.7 rushing yards per game on 3.5 yards per carry. This should be a lot more about Big Ben torching the Cincinnati secondary as he has completed 66.4% of his passes the last three games for 6.6 yards per pass attempt. He is going up against a Cincinnati defense that has allowed their last three opponents to complete 60.5% of their passes for 6.5 yards per pass attempt. The Steelers secondary should take care of business tonight as they have allowed their last three opponents to complete only 55.0% of their passes for 4.9 yards per pass attempt with a whopping 11 sacks in those games and 4 interceptions. That is horrible news for a Cincinnati offensive line that has been brutal allowing 12 sacks the last three games and giving their QB's little or no protection whatsoever. Expect the Steelers to come at these guys all night and force some big time turnovers. The Steelers have been pretty damn good on third downs the last three games converting 50.7% of their chances in those games while the Bengals defense has allowed their last three opponents to convert 40.9% of their third down chances. I don't see the point of talking about this game anymore because the Steelers hold every advantage possible at home and they should not only force turnovers that result in points but they should have the big plays we have not seen in weeks and that should lead them to a blowout win.

The scandal is over, stop talking about it, lets move in. The real trap is tonight for people betting on the Bengals and I say that because Pittsburgh is now 1-3 ATS in their last four games, pretty much everyone has stopped trusting these guys in televised games because they just don't come through so what better time for Vegas to sneak in a large looking line to get some money on the Bengals. Pittsburgh is a team you love to hate and I say that because when you bet on them they lose and when you bet against them, they cover the spread more times than not. So what do you do tonight? You go with what Vegas is telling you and what they are saying is that the 45% of the public that has surprisingly sided with the Bengals in this one tonight, are all about to get screwed. I know some of you are concerned because the road team is 7-1 ATS in their last eight meetings but all trends have to come to an end at some point and like I said before, the Steelers really need this game tonight and they need to win it big. Cincinnati has played well at times this season but only against teams from the NFC as they are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games versus AFC opponents. Pittsburgh on the other hand have not covered a home game in ages, they owe it to their fans to be a lot better than this when playing at home and this should be their coming out 'we are back to healthy' party as they tear apart the Cincinnati Bengals. Don't get caught in the Vegas Trap and bet on the Bengals, YOU WILL GET BURNED!

Trend of the Game: Cincinnati is 1-6 ATS in their last seven games versus the AFC Conference.

Pittsburgh 31, Cincinnati 6
