Need help putting together new betting system

I would like to get started on a new betting system. I believe that the crux to games is what each team does with possessions. I want to penalize teams that give away possessions easily, or can not keep them going. I want to reward teams that translate each possession into higher point totals per possession etc etc. I have a few other ingredients I want to include as well.

Anyone have any idea where I can find these nitty gritty stats??

You are talking about efficiency statistics.

Google "NFL Yards per point" or "YPPT" for more information.

You need to read Ace and sammy's stuff. In Aces number crunching many of the variables are quantified. Spend enough time to understand Aces approach, then go from there. Hes a wizard and a very nice guy to boot. Very patient, and a great teacher.
