Now, how is that fair?

It wouldn't be!!!

A team with four losses should not have a chance to become national champion.

Long live the BCS system.

What happens when you have the #2 and #3 or more teams basically equal? Some writers and shit get to choose who plays for the championship...now how is that fair at all?

Iowa would have been 1-7 in the Big 12 this year. Minnesota was the most overrated 7-4 team in the history of college football.

You want to know what isnt fair telling half the teams in the nation at the beginning of their season right before 2 a days are to start that no matter what they do they can not possibily win their sports most elusive prize, the national championship.

Team like Utah can go undefeated but according to this messed up system they have zero percent chance to be crowned champions of their sport that they work just as hard at as any of the other teams but becuase of the flaws in the system that arent even allowed to play in the game to see what would happen. Never no matter what they arent ever going to be given a chance, no matter how welll they play during the season they cant be crowned champions.

Wake me up when the borefest, I mean bowlfest is about over. Cant wait for that big motor city bowl this year. That should be really fun or how about when the #5 team plays the #7 team in the nation to see who ends the season ranked higher, what a prize that is. Talk about a meaningless exhibition. YAWN!!!

Sports are supposed to crown champions, its the ultimate prize at the end of the journey. They do it at every level in every sport. That is why you play a season, to find out who the champion is at the end of it. It's pretty simple without it you have nothing but an empty feeling in your stomach from all the debate and unanswered questions.

Better yet you know what would suck, that would be having a bracket show on later in the year with all the poetential matchups and possibillites that would be endless. The hype would be horribile. I mean what college football fan would want that to happen. I dont even want to think about how exciting that would be, yuck.

Talk about ruining all the great exhibition games we have going right now. I would much rather watch another meaningless (fill in the blank with any bowl game) Rose Bowl matchup this season that means nothing, you know the same one we have watched the past 30 years, now those are a blast and I cant wait again this year for that.

I mean who in there right mind would want to see let's say a Oklahoma versus USC battle and the winner of that play the winner of Florida against Texas and then whom ever comes out of those games plays the bracket with Alabama. How about the cinderella stories of Utah and Boise St and how far they would go. Or we could really get a feel who the best conferences are if they played for all the marbles week in and week out. The 1st round matchup weekend would dwarf every sports weekends of the year. I think it would be just too much good football. It would be too hard deciding what games to watch and who needs all that, we all have enough problems throughout the week with work in all so no reason confusing all of us more. Lets keep it nice and simple and have basically nothing too get excitied about like the way it is now. That would make it a lot easier for all of us. Who needs all the headaches.

No forget it as those storyline's would suck. Talk about boring. Just the mere thought of all that seems like a big waste of time to me. Just too risky getting rid of this great current setup we have and all the great battles this bowl season will have coming up. Boy I can hardly wait again for this bowl season. Those big crowds they have at all those sites are just great, what an electric atmostphere those games have plus I mean you need to reward thos 7-5 teams on getting over the .500 hump and giving them that extra meaningless exhibition game that nobody cares about.

The thought of another CFB season wasted actually sickens me. This why this sport will ALWAYS play second fiddle to the NFL. Kind of sad as they could be #1 but they are just too stupid too realize what they could have.

And how may I ask are they suppose to do that? They are affliliated with a conference. They make these schedules 5-10 years in advance. This conference they play in is the same conference they play dozens of team sports in. They cant just break their ties because they have a good football team nowadays. They scheduled Michigan, its not there fault this was Michigan's worst team ever they didnt know that when they were doing this. You cant punish them for that. They beat 2 of the top 16 ranked teams in the nation also.

This isnt my point at all though. It's not up too you or I too decide who would be win. Upsets happen every week in every sport. Hell there were a handful of them this week. No one knows what would happen, that isnt the point. USC lost to Oregon St this year and Stanford last year and I am sure they would probably beat them 99 out of 100 times but what about that one time, what if it happens when all the chips are on the table? But to be honest with you who cares what will happen. The point is you have to give everyone an equal oppurtunity before the season starts to play and beat every team that is presented to them via there schedule. Not a no shot at all no matter what. They passed every test, now what. I will tell you NOTHING. No other sport does that. Bowl season sucks!!!

bowl season doesnt suck. schedule big 12, big 12, sec opponents 5-10 years in advance, not difficult. utah SHOULD play in a bcs game. the title game? i dont think so, nor do i think they are deserving of such. but a bcs game? that is an accomplishment. why have playoffs? every week is a playoff in itself. you want to move up, score 70 on your opponents every week or schedule the best which is the big 12/big 10/sec.

They should elimante all playoffs in all sports, that would be the best. From now on vote on the sports championship's. That would be so great. Also you could eliminate half the teams before the season of even contention because in your eyes they dont deserve to play in a championship games.

Exhibtion football ends in august. No reason to keep playing crappy meanigless football AFTER the regular season is over. BORING!!!

thats not a good argument. if you are going to let 2 and 3 loss teams play for the title why even have a regular season? some teams/conferences are just above others and that is that. utah doesnt play a big 12 schedule year round. they cant handle the physical aspect of the game and the mental aspect of the game vs that quality of opponent week in and week out, nor can ball state....its just a fact. when you line up and play central michigan, kent, akron every week, you can get away with mental and physical mistakes. if you play texas tech or texas and make those same errors, dont count on it. how would utah's record be if they played texas, texas tech, oklahoma, okie state, mizzou, etc for their conference schedule? i dont see them winning one of them games......they should stick to the mountain west

So going forwrad people like you decide on who can handle what and how teams are going to react? That sounds fair. Oh wait that is the way it is currently, we vote who plays were based all on our opinons. You know I dont doubt what you are saying about them not being undefeated nor do I really think they would win but you have to at least give them a shot to play for it at some point during the season, right? Please answer that. When does a team like Utah have a shot to play for even a shot at the national championship?

So to the end of time no team out of these conferences will ever be able to put together a championship team because all you have to say is they couldnt go undfeated if the played so and so. So none of these teams are ever allowed to even mention NC? What other sport has a setup like that?

Why have a regualr season in any sport? Lets just have 1 game elminations starting in week 1 that way every game is the way you want them. The regular season would be one big playoff like all you BCS fans think it is suppose to be. Take my NFL example of the BCS, if it is so great why dont the NFL go to the kind of setup? Vote for the 2 best teams and play exhibtion games with the rest of the above .500 teams. I know why cause it would be laughed at just like this crap. Sounds stupid doesnt it?

Pac-10 teams schedule D2 schools in-conference. Washington, Washington State may be two of the worst teams in the history of "BCS" Conferences.

Yes. Can't wait for the SEC people to start posting after the bowl season. They'll go 6-2 in the bowls and tell everyone how good they are, but every game is in their area, basically home games.

Your a true CFB fan, and precisely why you get it.

PLAYOFFS are hogwash........they should be eliminated in every sport.

No major sport crowns a more TRUE CHAMPION at this time than CFB................

Ice If You're Bored By The "Minor" Bowls

watch "Dancing w/the Stars". Love the Bowl season always have. The only thing I don't like now, is since they're so important the BCS bowls should cut the conf. ties. Just pick the top 12.
