in the Big10. Mitch King (DL) and Shonn Greene (RB). Too bad this team isn't unbeaten! 4 losses - 12 total pts. Greene should also wrap up DOAK WALKER award next month as the nation's leading rusher.

Let's hope Greene gets invited to NY for the Heisman ceremonies.

I think he should and will.....................

Unfortuately, I dont see Greene coming back for his senior year.

At this point, he is probably headed to the NFL as a likely 1st round draft choice.

Iowa is loaded at RB though, as Jewell Hampton should be able to fill Greenes shoes admirably. In fact, with 4 starting lineman back on the offensive side of the ball next year, I look for Hampton to rush for 1,000 yds if he stays healthy.

The Hawks also have a 4.5 star RB recruit coming in from Sioux City that many say has Tim Dwight qualities. Also, they have a redshirt freshman from St. Pete Florida that was an absolute standout down here in the Tampa area and was probably the best back in this RB rich area.

Hawks should be good offensively next season.

Losing King and Kroll on the DL will hurt the defense considerably.............and I'm looking at the DL as being an area where Iowa will have concerns with next year probably more than any other position.

VIKING....it appears KING was DL of the year in the big ten, not defensive player of the year.

Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis repeated as defensive player of the year and Iowa's Shonn Greene captured best offensive player Monday when the All-Big Ten was announced.
Penn State center A.Q. Shipley is the offensive lineman of the year and Iowa defensive tackle Mitch King was selected as the top defensive lineman.

Hey Fish. Living here in Sioux City, I have seen the running back you are referring to. Wegher is the real deal.

i wouldn't worry about the dline. klug will take over for king and has played very well in the reserve roll. i think ballard moves down to the other dl position and geary takes the de position opposite clayborn. binns will be in the mix as well and has played well.

Just watched some of his highlights on YouTube.........looks fantastic.

Freshman Hampton, the redshirt freshman from St. Pete, and this kid should make for a solid running game in Iowa City for the next few years.......although this kid figures to see some time at WR I would imagine.

Imagine if Greene opts to comeback next year.
