The 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game will pit the Virginia Tech Hokies against the Boston College Eagles in the final regular-season college football game of the 2008 college football season for teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The game will be held in Tampa, Florida on December 6, 2008. Virginia Tech, champions of the ACC's Coastal Division and Boston College, champions of the ACC's Atlantic Division, will play to determine the conference's overall football champion. The winner of the game will be awarded an automatic bid to the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) 2009 Orange Bowl game at Dolphins Stadium.

Of interest to Doug Flutie fans:

Billy Flutie, the Boston College backup quarterback and nephew of Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie, threw for a 9-yard touchdown on a fake field goal Saturday to lead the 20th-ranked Eagles to a spot in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game with a 28-21 victory over Maryland.

2 very average team. ACC not very good this year. Either should catch a beating in the orange bowl.

True, mainly because of parity in the ACC. The only good news is they play the winner of the Big East (Cincinnati) a team either can play with.

VA Tech will be a 6 point favorite IMO over BC next Saturday in Tampa. The Hokies will also be favored if they get there in the Orange Bowl.

Agree. ACC seemed that there was a small difference in all the teams.

This year BE winner is in the OB? If so, I see either BC or Vtech as favs...
