It was real close though of course.

Well Texas could still play in the National Championship game if Oklahoma happens to lose to Missouri

I may be wrong but don't all coaches have to vote, and this being the only one that is known for who they voted for? At least that is what I thought they said on the sports reporters this morning.

oklahoma passes a texas team that beat them by 10 on a neutral field.

you would have to be retarded to think that that was right.

Yeah ... some great teams this year. A 8 team playoff would have been awsome!

This should have been the year to do it! Ahh well .... the fans have no say, so we can only dream!

Distance wise, Dallas is midway between Norman and Austin. Of course, that doesn't mean Dallas is 50% Sooner fans and 50% Longhorn fans.

There is not a Texas fan or OU fan alive that would tell you that the game in Dallas is not a neutral site.

Tickets for the game are split 50-50. There is absolutely no home field advantage!

What if the OU TEXAS game was played last week, would there have been a difference in voting??

I say texas would of course be higher than OU in that case. Why should it matter when the games are played likewise.

college football has always emphasized games later in the year more than games played in the first 2 months.

Better to lose early than late.

The system is terrible but until fans stop going to BCS games the system will never change.
