If you were to bring an item to have a professional NFL quarterback sign what would you bring that you would believe to retain the most value?

Football? Brand and size?
Helmet? Replica or Authentic?
Jersey? Replica or Authentic?

I was considering bringing the football, but not sure which one is regulation I thought it was Wilson? I know Reebox is the authentic jersey

Myself I would have the Authentic Jersey autographed of the QB and put it in a nice frame and keep it out of sunlight so the autograph doesnt fade and make sure you use a Sharpie

Is it something you want to hold onto or sell? If it is something to go on your wall you should get what looks cool to you. If your plan is to sell it on e-bay then I would go with the Authentic Helmet. Football signings are harder to read IMO and the Jersey autograph seems to fade or not write on as well. Which team color would determine what color pen or sharpie to use. If it were a team with dark colors a silver sharpie looks the best IMO. Which player is it? Please say it isn't Rex Grossman or Kyle Orton.

I like the helmets best but I think the jerseys probably look better on the walls. As far as retaining value, I think the helmet would be the best surface to get a lasting non-smeared autograph.

Jake nice to see you posting at a real site. . .

My cousin is a huge autograph collector and keeps all of his signed helmets in a case. It is by far the best looking of his collection except a bat rack he has with 4 or 5 bats in it signed by some people that don't sign much or charge an arm and a leg to get something signed. You can make shelving or buy cases to display your stuff in. I would go helmet for sure.

I never bother them for autographs. Not my thing. Id rather have a picture.

As for Orton......that was unexcusable last night. That game couldve cost them the playoffs and they were very much in it before his 3 horrible picks thrown to unopen receivers. I dont care if he hasnt thrown a pick in 2,000,000 passes, you cant do that 3x like that in one of the biggest games of the year for your team. Just horrible. That may ruin him for the rest of the year too.

One of those Purdue mini helmets would be nice with a black Sharpie sig of Orton.

I have 4 autographed footballs that have never seen the light from the 1974 and 1975 Oklahoma National Championship teams. Make me an offer?

Bears Helmet more value IMO. Silver Sharpie for sure on that.

You like silver over white? I think I'd lean white personally. Let me try and dig up some pictures.

It's a crappy silver autograph but it kinda shows the difference. I think I like white personally. Not a big fan of silver sharpie, just a personal preference.

Many years ago I played in a scramble with the great Bill Russell, and got his autograph on a scorecard(didn't turn it in). These were the days when he didn't give autographs even to teammates and friends.

LOL
at least Orton doesn't idolize Brett Favre and admits to being a Colts fan like that other bum on the bench
Orton's an alcoholic or at least binge drinker
and Grossman was known to be a fan of cocaine in Florida

and with all the bars and good coke in Chicago we're just asking for trouble

That pic was a Buddy Ryan autograph that shit doesn't count. Silver is better looking IMO but hey to each his own.
