Wanna get lost in a PS3 game for a week or two

It's been a while since I sat home for weeks at a time (after work) and just got lost in a video game. Have quit one of my other habits as some may know and have picked up the video game addiction again...

any suggestions...I was leaning going to get the new Tomb Raider as I usually can play these games for hours on end and not get bored..

Depends what types of games ur into. Fallout 3 is a pretty sweet role playing game. But its a lot of exploring, talking to people, gaining experience, however u still get to blow off a good amount of heads. If u like adventure games Prince of Persia comes out in a few days, and I'm pretty sure that will own tomb raider.

I was looking into Prince of Persia...I like all types of games...sports, mortal kombat type games, shooters and adventure games...if its entertaining Im sure I will like it...very easy to please when it comes to video games...maybe Ill just buy a few until I find the game I want to play..

tried MK vs Marvel and beat it in like 45 minutes which was a little frustrating..(even though its a fun game to play w friends)

Bought Kane and Lynch and started playing it...ehhhh...its not bad but nothing I feel that I will get into

Tiger is Tiger and bought a couple other sports games...Im gonna go out and get NBA Live or College Hoops game..any suggestions as to which one?? NBA2k9 or Live ...NCAA2k9 or March Madness???

Get a gamefly.com subscription if you don't already have one. It's around 20 bucks a month for 1 at a time but well worth it especially if you are buying new games.

the first Prince of Persia for PS2 years ago was hands down the best game of the year...think it was 2002 or so. Would love to see what the new one is like on the PS3. I'm looking forward to playing the new Worlds at War game. Left my PS3 at my brother's place a few months ago and haven't got it back yet! Much rather play that than poker right now!

if u get an NBA game, go with NBA2k9, I'm usually all about EA sports, but not when it comes to this game. Not a big soccer fan, but Fifa is addicting.

im not too much of a gamer but left 4 dead is pretty cool if you like to play online. check out you tube and watch the gameplay. I like games like that. only drawback is i think its for the xbox 360 only.

i just tried the new bond game for ps3 and i thought it sucked. im a fan of the guitar hero and rock band shit!

A really, really good one that came out about a month ago...Dead Space. Awesome game, one of the best of this year. I think Target is having a sale where you can get it for like 30 bucks right now.

If you played and liked Resident evil 4, then you'll like Dead Space.

Otherwise, you can rent a game like Star wars : the force unleashed and finish it in about 8 hours.

And as for the sports games, I almost always go with the 2k games. It just sucks that Madden's exclusive NFL deal killed the best football game out there, the NFL 2k series. Now I'm stuck with All Pro Football (though not a bad game you can find at bargin price now).

Or just hack your XBox so that it can play burned copies of games. My roommate and his friends do it and are able to play every new game that comes out. One of them buys it, they all copy it and play it on their own XBoxes.

Call of duty : world at war

The single player campaign is great! But you will be done with it in 3-4 days (less than 20 hours). (I was, and I suck at first person shooters)

The online play is SO weak compared to Call of duty : modern warfare

It isnt a good time consumer unless you love online play
