I'm not close. I'm 45, been driving for close to 30 years, even at 30,000 miles a year, I'd be short. I've had years of over 30k miles, but also years of much less.

If I had to guess, I'd say 400,000 total.

I don't see how one could drive a million miles ( lifetime), unless you're job is driving.

Is anybody a below average driver ?

Half of drivers must be poorer than average ( or even Median).

Have you ever known anybody that thought they weren't a well-above "average" driver ?

Somebody has to make up the bottom half of drivers, eh ?... meet my wife, she's a dangerous driver ! Of course she thinks , she's the best driver in the world ! :lolBIG: :ohno:

She likes to high beam people, I often fear getting shot, when she drives. She brakes for nothing, as well, and drives too slow !

I have owned 10 cars with 100,000 miles on them.

Does that count?

then you're like 70, and drove an average of 20k a year, for 50 years, that;s believable.

Yep...Like Punter, the bulk of my heavy driving miles came while living in North Texas. Routine to do 800-1000 miles a week traveling (in my case) from North Dallas area into the southwest Dallas county and/or into south Arlington.

Not to mention the several years of direct sales where I would work about a 100 mile radius of Dallas.

As Most Of You Know I'm Older Than Dirt

I figure during my "salad days" 30 yrs I drove approx. 25k per yr, so during the rest 10k +? I imagine I'm real close or over. There was a period of 10 or 15 yrs I was doing probably 50k+. that's only 1000 a wk, which I did. Now I just ride my mule.:nohead:

Easily!

Heck, by the time I was 18 probably had driven a snowmobile, farm tractor, and riding lawn mower a total of 100,000 miles..........so got a quick headstart.

Now add in a tour of duty driving a cab, and that should propel me over the 1,000,000 mark quite easily.

I did 50K a year the last two years.

For 4 years, while not really working, I'd say I did 30-40K a year going back and forth from UT, Ohio, Colorado, NM, Vegas, SD...all from Arizona.

Feels like I live in a car at times
