Exactly. If I was Penn St fan I would be pissed. Your reward again is too go to the same stinking bowl game and play the same team in their home stadium. I have felt this way many a time as a Michigan fan and it SUCKS ROYALLY!! It is so disapointing as a fan.

At least let them play someone different to make this half way exciting and to tell you the truth who the hell cares if they win (which they wont win anyway in that unfair enviroment). This whole system is so 1955. What a joke:missingte this whole thing makes me laugh.

Even the announcers on this lame show know this whole thing sucks. You can just see it. This crap they are talking about ruins the whole matchups, which should be the main focus.

Just like a 2500 dollar claiming race, there is a winner to every race.

Tickets will be cashed and thrown away just like a graded race.

More the merrier.

I feel sorry for some folks who never get to experience a bowl game as a fan.

Been to the Rose, Orange, Alamo, Capital One, and Outback Bowls to watch the Hawkeyes and the memories and fun had before, during, and after each and everyone of them are something to be cherished for a lifetime.

Been to a few myself when the matchups were great...But corporate sponsors have taken over and most of the time the bigger bowls are already committed to a conference...now they are overpriced and too many mediorcre teams are getting in, definitely watered down....

I would think the Conference games would be more fun to see in person. At least those mean something

Personally, I love the bowl games. Only thing in sports that compares is march madness. I'm completely in favor of the bowls. Can't wait to get this thing started!

BCS is boring. That being said, I did get to play in a marching band at halftime at a bowl game when I was in high school....that was kinda cool.
Can't remember which bowl it was even after looking at current and defunct bowl games i wikipedia. I think it was in Florida.

After doing some more searching it might have been the Holiday Bowl.

Big reach to make it like the NCAA Hoops selecton show and not even close.

Dumb idea to even do this.

Even had live shots of campuses............like Cincy didnt know what bowl they were going to.

Fwiw

The Rose Bowl is an amazing event to witness in person, normally beautiful weather in Pasadena in early January and 100,000 plus fans split fairly evenly between the two teams involved rooting for what are usually ecellent football teams. The atmosphere is great also. I have only been to one Rose Bowl back in the early 1980s but had a great time.

Tickets are actually available to the general public by lottery they are so popular.

The lessor bowls reward teams for winning seasons and raise money for the sponsors and the schools and their conferences.

College football is a huge moneymaker for the NCAA and the bowl games are a big part of that. My advice to fans who only care about the BCS Championship Game is to just ignore the other bowl games like you would a minor league baseball game.

The game is not nearly one sided for the Pac10 team as one might think.
