P/c help!!

Not very sharp w/pc's but i have hi-speed comcast & when i click onto something it is very slow to respond. I usually move the mouse around as it seems like the progress bar gets full & stays there unless i move the cursor sometimes against the scroll bar on the right of the screen as that seems to help. Sometimes i get a message or what the hell u call it at the top of the screen where it shows you what you are trying to click to & it says, windows internet explorer not responding. I cleaned cookies, temp files & history the best i could or know how to. HELP, REMEMBER I AM A DUMB ASS ABOUT P/C'S. Thank You

If Internet Explorer is not responding it sounds as if you're getting crap connection.

Moving the mouse around most certainly does not affect speed, yea or nay

does not affect speed but seems to help me to get on to what i clicked on.

Also when i click on to the back button & sometimes on the refresh it is slow to respond.

Yes, it sounds as if your connection is very slow even though it's purported to be "high speed"

Shut down your modem (the device that connects your cable from wall to your PC) for a couple minutes and during that time, reboot your system.

Did as you suggested, also desktop dr. checked connections. Will see how system functions while i am on 5-6 different sites as it seems to be ok while i am on here now. will keepyou posted, Thanks barman
