OK so I bought one of those universal power adaptor for about $50 from Circuit City or wherever. It came with about 10 different knobs that go on the top of the cord and connect the power source to your laptop.

I found the one that fit my Hewlett Packard laptop and put the other adapters in a drawer.

Anyway I fell asleep in bed the other night and the laptop fell off and the little adaptor, the one specifically fot the HP, broke off when the laptop hit the floor.

My question is has anyone else bought one of these universal adaptors for a different make/model laptop that might be willing to send me the adaptor for my HP ?

Thanks in advance and as a sign of my gratitute here is a winner in tomorrow's UEFA Cup.

I have one made by Rocketfish. Don't think it will work.

I bought it in Amazon and it was only $10, almost new. Works great. Look into it.

Not worth shipping a part if I can get the whole thing for $10.

No problem joey. Next time people say I don't contribute to this site, please step in.

And yes, I saw them at Circuit City / Best Buy for $50+. Then I found the same one in Amazon for $10, I believed it had never been used, even though it said "used, like new".

I bought one for my COMPAQ and it cost me 89.99$

It came with about 10 different adaptors and only 2 worked.

If I had a better idea of what size or whatever you were looking for I might be able to help for a small fee :)

I don't have that piece anymore I threw it out when it broke but the part in # 4 fits into the bottom of the piece I'm missing.
