This line will be going up to most likely - 4 1/2 by game time. Why ? Well, first off just take a look at what Oklahoma has done recently in their bowl games ! Also defense wins the big games and Oklahoma doesn't have a defense. I guess We could also add in the Heisman jinx if you're superstitious but since both sides have a Heisman winner, We should just let that one go.I loved Florida at - 3 long before some of the latest injuries. Lastly, let's not forget where this Championship game is being played....Miami. Whether you're a Gator fan or Sooner fan makes no difference as I simply believe the line is headed higher. Any thoughts ?

Not sure the line moves much, perhaps a point, but no matter as this game will not be close as the Gators will win this one very comfortably due to their speed difference, much better defense that will allow them to get stops and therefore separate from the Sooners. The Oklahoma State game exposed the Sooners as they were both run on and passed on and only outscored the Cowboys. They won't be able to consistently move offensively against the Gators, but Florida will move at will against the Sooners defense. This line is way off and the final score will reflect the difference in these two teams. Been waiting weeks hoping for this particular mismatch anticipating a soft line. Got it and therefore this is my strongest play of the college football season.

Love florida also, not as much as OMT but enough value that I would have bet it on any other saturday this season, to me that defines if the bowl bet is worthy.

Made the line Florida -7.5. Grabbed a -3 reduced juice pretty early on. I think the better bet for this game is in the under but who has the guts to watch that game with an under, yuck. Probably will bet some under real small right before kickoff.

Let me add. Whatever way it moves onto the next half point, that move will be huge. I could see it hitting 4 by gametime.

Wouldnt completely be surprising, just depends what the big syndicates are going to do. They are probably all watching each other hoping one strikes first and the number moves to 2.5 or 3.5 and then those supporters will probably pounce quickly.

Not sure if it goes up (the way I feel it should and will go) that the Sooner backers wont knock it right back down again.

I love the SEC, but for some reason I can't shake my belief that OU takes this one. OU has the best TE in the nation, they have the best passing qb in the nation, they have the best oline in the nation. Bama beat up the florida dline, what OU will do will be worse. DM being out is a big loss, but the sooners are relatively deep at the tailback position. Certainly there are some problems giving up great field position, but I think the Sooners outscore the gators.

Actually I already hedged my many florida wagers with a nice 8/1 on Oklahoma as soon as Texas lost to Texas Tech. I also have a 15/1 on Oklahoma. My only wager on this game so far is Florida -3 -110. However you are kinda correct as if or when this line does move to - 4 1/2... I will get greedy and go for some middles. :toast::103631605:lol:

I think the line is right on.

Having said that, I would tend to go along with your analogy here.

Looking at this years SEC, we see that Georgia and South Carolina are the 3rd and 4th best teams...........not exactly monumental.

Everyone wants to talk about no defense in the BIG 12, well the 3rd best team in the SEC, Georgia, has a defense that wouldn't rank much better, if at all, than the top five teams in the Big 12. I would say South Carolinas defense is average at best.

Alabama and Florida are far and away the two best teams in the SEC, but after that, this years version of the SEC is nothing like it has been the past 8-14 years.

I think OKLAHOMA may actually prevail here.

Granger out is a serious blow to OU. UF loves to run the ball up the A and B gaps and Granger is one of the few that could have shut that down.
