The video of the Orphan Christmas Party is finished and a special thank you to Paradise Pete (Steve) who took all the pictures and set them to music...he is not a professional photographer, but should be...he was a fantastic asset to all we wanted to accomplish and share with you the photos of the party...the video can be seen under the thread "Party for the kids"
I have a millon people to thank down here and to all the kind posters in the states who helped to make this happen...where to start?
Judge Wapner and Lisa...Judge hit up the sportsbooks again this year and made sure I kept on top of everything...he provided us with a post office box where we could get the donations....Lisa and him gave us all moral support and Lisa was instrumental at our wrapping party...
Betallsports sent down boxes of toys and kept track of all donations from the states...thanks again Mike, and I will see you in February...
Time Out Tavern crew donated all the food and beverage and fed all the orphans and their guests...Steve's family worked very hard behind the scenes and without them and their support, this year's party wouldn't have happened...we had to make a change with the orphanage we gave to and Steve put us on to this one, plus two others...Thank you Steve!
Ivan and the crew from Metallica...these guys did all the legwork that Judge Wapner, Lisa, and myself did last year...They did all the shopping and kept in communication with the orphanage at all times...they did all the stockings and the pinata and bought all the washing machines, computers, and micro-waves....the orphanage has four houses, one empty and each house thanks to all your donations are getting brand new washing machines, computers, and gifts such as micr-waves, food processors, and other utensils...we are taking care of utility bills and internet set-up also...each kid got a great gift bag full of clothes and gifts...
Don Melchor's crew came thru again this year with 100 pair of tennis shoes and they were given out the other night..Thank you, Roberto...
Mickey from CRIS went into his pocket and gave us 2000 bucks without blinking an eye and Steak TarTar and Seymour each donated 1000 bucks each...thank you so much...
To all posters who donated their cash and gave us moral support, I thank you from the bottom of my heart...I wish you could have seen all the children's smiles and the gratitude of the Nuns who run the orphanage..It's amazing what a little forum like this can do and change the life of people who are less fortunate...
You head Mods did everything in your power to help us get out the word..Thank you Wilheim and the boys!
Again, thanks to everyone who participated, especially the crew from Metallica and I almost forgot Mo who was Santa for the first time in his life...you guys made the holidays a wonderful time...Ziggy and Lina worked non-stop and made sure everything was accounted for and nobody was left out....
