5 Dimes payout check question

I just received my first payout check in years from 5 Dimes It was issued from a Canadian Bank. I remember at least 5 years ago my bank had me wait at least 3 weeks for a Canadian Bank issued check from a Sportbook to get cleared for a deposit. Will I have this same problem when I try to deposit this check too. Any 5 Dimes players please respond.

Depends on your bank and you account standing and history with your bank.

banks have odd rules... each one is different... for instance my bank (a major one) if i walk in and deposit a check, all but $100 is held for 1 business day.. yet I can walk in and cash that same check with no hold.

Would I be better off trying to cash it in at Walmart or another check cashing place. The check is for $2000

Next time, take the regular mail option that comes in about a week for 15 bucks and U.s. money orders. May have to be under 1000 dollars.

I have had the 30 day wait in the past with my bank; however I deposited a check about 5 weeks ago and the teller said nothing (the money is in my account.) GL
