When they get all fucked up in the head i think its gods way of telling you to get the fuck away from a camera.

Damn that was sad trying to watch him talk, was like watching a midget fucking, very clumsy.

Have to show the "respect" due,,,the man.

Dick Clark is still rockin’ New Year’s Eve
79-year-old says participating in annual celebration is a labor of love.

LOS ANGELES - Four years after a stroke, Dick Clark is relishing the prospect of another New Year's Eve celebration, determined to appear for his 36th year in Times Square. And he's hardly surprised by the current state of the music industry he helped build — he predicted this, after all.

Clark, who turned 79 last month and has been in front of the cameras for 61 years, said in a recent interview by e-mail that his involvement in "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2009," diminished though it may be, is a labor of love and "not really a job."
"Obviously, I'm not able to be as actively involved as I used to be out on the street, up on a platform and interacting with the crowds in Times Square" in New York, Clark wrote. "Thank goodness my friend Ryan Seacrest is able to handle that end of the activity on the show these days.

i think he has an ownership / producing role in the show .

hasnt fired himself yet.

not sure what was more painful , watching him or the jonas bros.

on fox you had robbie knievel jump about 20 feet on motorcycle for your viewing pleasure.

That Motor Cycle Jump may have been worse...I was really hoping he missed and fell into the Volcano. With that being said I'm not sure he even jumped over it, I think he jumped in front of it from the angle they showed

how about they were going over all the things that could go wrong with pictures . showing him come up short and hit the ramp , land in the volcano causing certain death . '

and what about that host with his phony tv voice .

i should have stayed out in the bars....

Dick Clark is indeed a New Years eve icon. But for gods sake get him off the air. It is incredibly sad watching him try to speak. New Years is supposed to be an upbeat , wild and crazy time, Clark speaking is the complete opposite.
If they insist on him being involved limit him to maybe a total of 30 seconds of speaking for the whole show.

He is an icon and really makes me feel my age as i used to watch him on American Bandstand. Although, he still let Kathie lee Gifford on TV. Boy, now that is a travesty.
