Brock Landers went through and is apparently going through a rough time with gambling...here is what he posted from SBR back on Dec.28th....

I know we've seen a lot of these lately...but i am here to say i am making my very last post on the board. I don't know what the hell happened in the last month, specifically since Ball St lost on Friday December 5th, but i've been beaten and bloodied beyond belief and had to be bailed out by my family for the last time. its happened before over the years and now its happened again and one result is i need to now get a 2nd job. How the hell i still have a family if one of the great mysteries, i've put them through hell with my gambling and today it stops, or i die, one of the two.

Guys, i'm not telling ANYONE what to do, what i am saying is be smart and carefull, we are all a few bad weeks away from cashing in our chips for the last time. I certainly didn't see it coming, just a month ago i hit a monster play on Northwestern in college football. But thats long gone and then some.

If anyway wants to rip me, so be it, i hold no ill will, even towards an obvious novice as Venditto.

So to JJ Gold, Richie, Nicky Santoro, and all the rest of you i can't remember right now. Take care, its been fun, but all good things must come to an end.

if you are a bad bettor you shouldn't be betting $1,000 a game as he claims he does. Boggles my mind that you are betting money you don't have when you know you are a life long loser

I'm no where remotely close to being 2-3 weeks away from cashing in my chips - wagering is just like alcohol or drugs - some people just can't handle it and it overtakes their life - my idiot friend has a drinking and drug problem and has not done either all of 2008 - he went out with me for New Years and started drinking - well, he left Gold Rush yesterday at 5:00 pm at night coked to the gills some 10k lighter - he never went home since New Years (all by himself).

but in my view........the problem is this

"had to be bailed out by my family for the last time."

when things get fixed is ......when you are not bailed out by anyone and THEN its really the 'last time' when you hit rock bottom and you get out of the hole (or may be not?) all by yourself

Which ever of his family members bailed him out, did a terrible disservice to him and hurt him in the long run. Hopefully picking up the second job will help him and keep him away from gambling but from every thing I've read by that guy he has no concept of paying his debts and is always looking to stick it to someone.

I warned this arrogant prick a couple of times about the evils of buying worthless pts and wagering on minus-ev moneylines. The sad thing, is he may be through begging for help from his enabling family, but he hasn't hit rock bottom yet. March Madness baby!

i was going to start a thread about him cause i didnt see him during bowl season. its a terrible feeling when this sort of thing happens. problem is many feel they can survive betting on sports. been there done that(when i was single). and to those who solely depend on gambling as an income and are successful i say gl to ya. but theres no way i could look my kids in the eyes and tell them daddy can't pay the mortgage because some college or pro couldnt hit a 3 pointer. sad.
