Question About Sports Betting

I am not sure if anyone has an answer to this, but figured I would ask the question anyway...

Is there such thing as a sports handicapper that will place wagers on all sports for you.. and sort of "handle" your money for you? So in other words instead of studying every game and buying other handicappers' picks, then placing your wagers... you would just give your money to a sports "investor" and they would do all the work for you. Assuming they have a good reputation of course.

For someone who works 8-5 during the week and lives in the Pacific time zone, there is no way to follow all the games during the week and even begin to place wagers on all of them.

This is a concept I've posted about on another forum years ago.

Why doesn't a tout work on commission?

Meaning you set up an offshore and give the tout your access info and he makes the plays and the end of the week/month he gets 5% of the winnings.

You come home from work get online and see what you have action on.

Of course more than likely he will drain your account.........LOL

I don't think this would be a good idea, as BadCo said.

The guy could Blow you out in no time at all.

I would Never trust someone else like that.

There was a kid did this in horse racing ...he didnt steal a dime.........couldnt he lost it all too fast.

If someone did this in sportsbetting it would be pretty easy to Ponzi...

Thanks for the insight guys... I know it's kinda a shady business idea, but as long as the bookie was honest and had a reputation of making money, I think it would work. I like the commission idea. Of course I wouldn't throw too much money at this, just in case the guy lost it all.

Nobody is going to do this for 5% commission. If they are really winning, they would be much better off just betting bigger with their own funds, or utilizing a credit book in order to get more money in play. 5% of your funds would be peanuts, at best I could see a winning player seeking an investor to fund him for a profit split of 50/50 or some other reasonable terms. You see this sort of thing in poker all the time. Sportsbetting would be much more shady because there are a lot less real winners out there.

ninerboy i have yet to meet a guy who can say he is making a living gambling he might be making a living having suckers sending him money thinking this guy knows something (tout) and pay for his useless information.

ninerboy ask yourself a question if you were making a comfortable living gambling why would you want to make money for total strangers you dont even know.do you think guys can predict what happens in some of these games nobody can its all a crap shot your either on the right side or your not its almost like guessing.all the studying in the world isnt going to make (allan iverson make two key free throws down the stretch that you need for a cover its the human element that makes gambling so tough)

ninerboy we had this guy at the irish social club he graduated from harvard he was going to dedicate himself to gambling and making a living doing it.he would study all day long he was a fountain of information he put all his knowledge into gambling.ninerboy he ended up getting divorced and driving a taxi cab and this guy was a genius.so if he couldnt do it i doubt the average guy can.

boys i dont do it but the only way to make money gambling is only playing one sport.i think i could be up money betting baseball and baseball totals.if i just stuck to one sport i could make money but of course i bet (basketball,football,and baseball) you need control to make money gambling and most of us dont have it.

ninerboy bottom line if you think you are going to send money to some deadbeat and sit back and watch your money grow your dreaming your guess is as good as theres.

Billy Walters has been doing this for years, except he puts up the bankroll and gives the beards 10%-20% of the winnings(depending on how high up on the food chain). Do you think he is very confident?

know plenty of people that make a living off gambling. And a good living at that.
