I know exactly how much is on it. Right now I won't settle for less than 75%. I'm looking for $390 for my card. Which is 75% of $520. I've never done this before so I might need help with the logistics. Whale I will keep you in mind.

Kidslick don't want it zee...ww does

I believe the card should be worth 75% of face value. I trust both you guys but at this point I'm trying to get 75% of $520. I also need to point out that this card is a "Store Credit" card not a gift card. I don't think there's much of a difference. Giftcards are purchased whereas "Store Credit" cards are given on merchandise returns. I'll keep both you guys in mind if I have trouble getting 75 %.

Thanks,

Zeeman

Why not just put it on ebay. Appears they are going for ~85-90% of value. Just search home depot gift card. First one ends in 10 minutes and is a store credit.

Thanks for advice. I've never been on Ebay. Don't know how it works. I'm sure thats why Whale wants to buy it for less than 70%. He'll turnaround and sell it for 90%. From what I've read over the years Whale is one of the smartest posters at the RX.

It's pretty easy to set up an account and put something up for bid. Once you set up your account it takes you through a bunch of categories, questions and such about your item. Pretty self explanatory, main thing is to make sure you have it in the right categories, the title is a good and it has the relevant information, which in your case is pretty much Home Depot Store Credit/Gift Card, Value $X. Post a picture of the card too.

abcgiftcards.com i sold them a gift card one time and had the money in less than a week. it looks like they will give you 75% for a home depot card. it was a really easy process also when i did it. they even pay for shipping so you would get like $395 check i think it was like $5 to send it to them

C.P.,

Read the earlier posts. I clarified its a "Store Credit" Card. These cards are issued on Merchandise returns. Don't be so skeptical, I'm not trying or going to screw anybody over. I won't be using the card anytime soon. I'm just looking for a Win Win type of transaction.

Good info. Just trying to share a good deal with my fellow RX brotherian. 75 % seems very fair.

Just over 80% is fair and realistically is about what you're gonna get from eBay. Looks like $500 Home Depot Gift Certificates are selling on eBay for around $450 with free shipping (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140292973716 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270324065231 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330297677685 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250350874303 )

$450
-$17.19 eBay fees ($.15 listing fee + 8.75% of the first $25 + 3.5% thereafter)
-$22.35 PayPal fees ($.30 per CC transaction + 4.9% of the total)
=$410.46
=82.1%
