Is Gran Torino any good?

Didn't want to see it at first, but now friends are telling me it's pretty badass. Not Eastwood's greatest hit, but worth paying the 10 bucks at the theatre to see. Anyone got reviews out there? Thanks.

Sweet deal. Sounds like the consensus is that it was a solid movie and Eastwood was good. Wanted to hear that, will see it this week. Thanks Rob.

I downloaded a dvd screener of it last week, it started very slow with a few comical racial remarks clint throws out there, but it progressed nicely into a good ending.

I was really hoping for a typical Clint Eastwood ending, but I guess the actual ending makes more sense.

characters ares nicely developed. it's not the movie I thought it would be from the trailer, but it was gripping.

Perhaps because it sucks watching a movie on a computer screen, and the sound sucks, etc .. unlike a movie theater where you get all of that.

Stop being cheap and fork over lunch money for a quality movie!

I wouldn't say this is a great movie, it's a feel good movie starring the most adored good (tough) guy in motion picture history. It was actually pretty slow moving and predictable IMO but if your a Clint Eastwood fan, which I am, you won't be disappointed, maybe surprised a little even. But you'll walk away with that "feel good" feeling for sure. That in itself is worth the 10 bucks admission.
