Have a friend who has lived in the south for 20+ years and claims for the majority(not all) of those that do are definetly racist to some degree.

Having lived in the south now for 6 years myself, I still shake my head when I see a confederate flag murial pasting the entire back window of someones 1997 S-10 Chevy pick-up.

On a related topic, for those in the South that say "The South will rise again", what do they mean?

Is the South down and out at the current time? If so, I never realized this. What has to happen for the South to rise again?

Not being sarcastic here, as I really don't know.

Please educate this born and raised "Yankee"......which by the way, never really knew I was until a few years ago.
