Those of you who are Club Grazie members may want to check your current offers on the web site. Like...right now.
I went to Vegas last November and finally signed up for Club Grazie. After doing that, I played maybe 2-3 hours of blackjack and craps at $15-$25 per hand/roll...which is nowhere near enough to get comped a grilled cheese sandwich, let alone a room there.
To make a long story short, the old lady and I go to Vegas every January since both of our BDays are in the same month. We were booked at Monte Carlo this weekend until I got a bunch of letters from the Venetian in the mail lately offering complimentary rooms for slot tournaments, a Super Bowl party, etc. On Monday night, I called them up, gave them my CG number and asked if they had any promo available for this weekend. I nearly fell off my chair when the guy on the other end of the phone offered me a comped suite for two nights, two free Blue Man Group tix and $300 in free match/slot play. Needless to say, we're staying there.
One of two things is going on:
1. The pit boss watched the wrong guy when he rated my play at the BJ tables, because there was a guy betting $500 per hand. That seems less likely.
2. Vegas is a ghost town right now...and casinos are starting to do anything they can to just get people to show up. My boss was there for CES and was surprised how uncrowded the town was since that and the AVN stuff was going on at the same time.
Either way, Venetian players club members should definitely log into the site and check their offers. I see free room offers from now through the end of March on my account...
