cant believe he is not in the hall of fame, ray guy was something to watch.

i remember him punting and hitting the scoreboard in the superdome.

his hangtime and distance and technique was unbeatable. never seen a punter finish with his kicking leg so far over his head.

Danny White, Tom Tupa.

I saw a show a while back on the 10 best players not in the NFL HOF. I forget whether it was ESPN, Fox Sports, HBO or NFL network. They were interviewing players and voters (ass clowns like Dr. Z) and they made it sound like Guy has little to no chance of getting in while at the same time admitting/acknowledging that he was the best punter the NFL has seen. What it basically came down to is most of the voters don't consider him/punters/kickers football players and thus, they don't even consider voting for them. Dr. Z went on and on about how a guy who only plays 4 or 5 plays a game doesn't "play" football and specialists shouldn't get in.

This is amazing - . Never had a single punt returned for a touchdown!

Also the first pure punter to be selected in the 1st round of the draft.

No, but the former Iowa punter is defineltly one of the all-time great punters in NCAA history..............had a better then average pro career.

Roby passed away a few years ago.....very nice guy.

I used to ride the bus with him almost everyday in my days at Iowa.

We abused him on the baseball field though. Did you know he played a little baseball at Iowa Fish?
