I just found this from another forum RE: Sirius...so pretty sure XM works.

"We have Sirius radio and love it! We use it at home here in the USA and then take it with us when we drive to Mexico. We enjoy it all the way down from Southern California to the coast of Michoacan where we use it at our beach house. We did purchase an outdoor satellite antenna(available from ebay and elsewhere) for it since we found that as the satellites reposition we would have to move the antenna and with the outdoor one we didn't.The outdoor antenna is approximately 10 inches high. The only time we have reception problems is when we are in the car and going through mountains. We also purchased a FM transmiter so that we could have satellite radio upstairs and downstairs and then discovered that our Sony radio would pick up the satellite transmission without it!"
