So I have been using online sports books for a few years now. My roomate got me set up with an account with his local. At the end of every week you settle up if you are up/down 800. I Lost a little over the weekend and might be going out of town for two weeks because of work. THe question I have is, since I wont be able to pay him due to being out of town, should I just not bet on the account? I really don't know all the so called "rules" for betting with a local. I don't want him to think that I am squatting on my account for two weeks though if I dont place a bet.

I guess the question is, lets say I am down 300-400 and dont place a bet in the next two weeks.... is this okay with with most locals?

its not much, just let him know you wont be in town, but that as soon as you are back in town it will be settled

Okay. Im just wondering because I am not down as much as the settlement of $800. Guess I should just get the number from my roomate.

Not that I plan on doing it, but what do most bookies consider "squatting"? Not betting what amount in what period of time?

First of all, if the # is $800 to settle up. No need to worry.
Just because you don't Bet one or two weeks, doesn't mean Sh*t.

But if you Call the guy and tell him you will be away, he will Fully understand. Plus think you are a Str8 Shooter.

If he is a "Normal" Bookie, he would just say, Have a good time...See you when you come back. ( if You get up to the $800 # )

Okay thanks for the input. Since I just started off with him didn't want to give him the wrong impression. I will try and get his number and if I can't get in touch with him I probably just won't be on the account for two weeks until I get back.

True degenerates bet from where ever they are.

If you're out of town and need to settle either way just think big brown or hello federal.
